CFF Rivalries
« on: July 28, 2019, 07:57:10 AM »
Confession time people.  Do you have any in-game rivalries in CFF?  Any team you're specifically seeking to beat?  If so, then tell us about them.  Are they two way rivalries, both managers seeking to beat the other? or just you wanting to beat the other manager?  Doesn't matter.  Even if the other manager is completely unaware of your very existence, reveal all here, and let us know about its progress.

Ok, I'll start.  I can't call it a rivalry because it's one sided, due to the fact that although we appear to have almost identical development strategies, the other team is better.  Ok, my two top TTers are close, on par or maybe better than the other team's 2nd best TTer, but the other team does currently have the best TTer in the CFF world, plus have greater depth in their TTers.  More importantly though, whilst we both have sprinter & cobble interests, the other team has more of them, outgunning mine to a level that I'm not in the ballpark for consideration by the other manager, except for maybe individual races, and will probably develop their cobblers & sprinters more for a better diversified team in upcoming seasons.

So it's more like a quiet envy & hope I can catch up to the other team's level.  I am of course talking about TeaMetal.

I'm my own rival. I hope I can stay alive till season 10 before killing all my riders and starting from 0 again, haha.

I humbly accept the rivalry :)
I was very lucky to pull Anderson very early in the game. But I think you are getting closer, because last season I wasn't even able to get a challenge for him; now this is possible (at least that :P).
We will see;
Hopefully my strategy will get me to Division 1 this season, where I hope to stay.
Too bad TTers can't quite win Individual classifications in Divisions...

Hopefully my strategy will get me to Division 1 this season, where I hope to stay.
I've seen that you're within reach for that, particularly with the TT WC points up for offer, and I was attempting to decide whether I'd like to see that.  On the one hand, you promoting means I can't see how close my cyclists are to Anderson.  On the other hand, it gives me a little more freedom to hopefully squeeze into that position next season (if I can recruit another cyclist or two).  And then thinking about my training schedule, my cyclists won't be properly showing their full comparative competitive quality until into season 5, so the second scenario works perfect for me.

Teametal, and Aurora Australis :P Laguna wants to be the best TT in the world  ::)
Laguna is around equal to my best two, Anderson is better.  If Laguna has 5 talent, he'll keep up (well except he's Spanish, and Spain loves to sabotage itself).  Besides our three teams (which has the five best flat TTers in CFF currently), the other TT team to look out for in the future is TeamEuroscalt (they're all 20 year olds, so another 2-3 seasons to wait - has best 20 year old in game).

I've already said this so it's no secret, Trump & Levin have 5 talent.  Most of mine have 4 or 5 talent, there's a couple with less (including originally my best [then 19 yo] TTer).
