  selection SPORTLIFE

Miorlin will be the teamcaptain in stages 4 and 5, the main objectives in this Giro.
Perhaps TT-specialist Bogarde and flat-sprinter Schäfer can score a few points extra, but that is very doubtful in advance.

201 Miorlin ( climber )
202 Huszta ( climber )
203 Adorján ( 23yo climber )
204 Bogarde ( TT )
205 Schäfer ( sprinter )

I'm hoping Daniel can score 400 points between stages 2, 6 & 9 (even though he's not gold).  And maybe the same from the TTers in stage 3.

421 Ben Mitchum (TTer)
422 Owen Acree (TTer)
423 Daniel Cerdan (Sprinter)
424 Neil Bell (TTer)
425 Alipio Velez (Sprinter)

stage 2 Giro, unexpected good results  :) ;
The not so suited teamcaptain Miorlin finished with a lightbulb as 28th on 0:00"
Flat-sprinter Schäfer ( with climbskill just 9 ) surprised me also with an excellent 7th place ( in a free role ).

A very exciting time trial in Florence for the 1A favorites, and in the end almost no time differences :

1º     Heinz-Dieter Maurer   24   Facha_Bartolo   a 0:00"
2º     Royce Ray   24   CyKings   a 0:00"
3º     Owen Acree   24   Aurora_Australis   a 0:01"
4º   Florian Overmars   24   CaptainOrange   a 0:04"
5º   Mark Tabitov   24   Cabrasverdes   a 0:05"

And good to see that Bogarde scores points, without TC and with active weather icon :
17º   Coen Bogarde   24   SPORTLIFE   a 0:43"

Very important stage for the GC in giro! After this we can start to see who will be fighting for the podium!

I almost never get challenges, and almost never those I send get accepted. Maybe, for some reason im feared   :'( ;D

stage 4 Giro :
Great victory of Miorlin8)
And his helpers scored some points extra with a 16th and a 19th place.

Miorlin 4th in the GC at the moment, although he has no GC ambition / not suited.
But for sure he has the ambition to take the pink jersey for 1 day. He has to try in the next stage, although he is not one of the favorites.

In section 1 an excellent job of the SPORTLIFE helpers Adorján and Huszta at the front of the leading group.

Thanks  :)
However, the chance is very big that Miorlin will not be in the pink jersey after stage 5, but he has to try with his home advantage.^^
The current (and new) GC leader Semon finished in stage 4 as 10th on 0:45"
I expect a smaller time difference in stage 5 and Semon has a good lead in the GC :

TOP 10 GC after 4 stages :

1    Ivan Semon   24   MortoviaCycling   0: 00"
2    Mike Bauer   24   CyKings   0: 52"
3    Santiago Castro   24   skunk   0: 53"
4    Nicola Miorlin   24   SPORTLIFE   0: 56"
5    Antonello Lorenzetto   24   Marcatone_Due   1: 00"
6    Karl Dahlen   24   ValeronIdolo   1: 08"
7    Edijs Dukurs   24   TipiCyclingTeam   1: 26"
8    Darvin Norwood   24   skunk   1: 44"
9    Hans-Peter Fischer   24   Turrones   1: 54"
10    Silvis Pumpurs   24   Pomilles_Balears   1: 54"

Also interesting to see the numbers 17 and 18. Both teams are battling for the 1A championship.  8)
( Of course the current 1A champion CyKings will be again a rival with his amazing tour-cyclist Bauer )

17    Robrecht Kemperman   24   Flyvende_hjul   2: 47"
18    Ronald Blaak   24   °Peachy°Melocotons   2: 57"

Good luck !
edit ; Peachy is not going for the GC, says his preview. But fun to mention Ronald Blaak as compensation of his loss in the challenge. :)

Thanks  :)
Already the 5th victory of Miorlin this season.
And so far he has not yet reached the 10 stars on climbing, but he should be close to that ( he is the nr114 in the golden climb list ).
