And that's the second big classic win for Jackson. Tomorrow morning he'll try to get his third.

podium OHN = 2nd Verheyen (Cabrasverdes), 1st Jackson (Zatarra), 3rd Leonov (CobbleCrushers).

Congratulations with this great victory, Zatarra !  8)

#4 Arve Nyland.

Great win Zatarra. I am happy with the 4th place for Nyland. When you are this close you hope for a podium but 4th is a great result for the Norwegian rider.

   selection SPORTLIFE

No GC ambition because the focus is on stage results, particular both sprint stages.
Although the expectations are not high, because there are many sprint rivals with better form because they have already raced in the TDU.
For my sprinters the season starts now, and I can see already that the sprint competition is very fierce in Paris Nice.
Faber can score points too, he has 100 form in the cobble stage due to his participation in OHN and SB, where my team scored zero points.
And maybe Løvdal can score a few points in stage 5, also for him his type of race is the first with 100 form.

111 Jannakopulosz ( 29 ), "hills"sprint
112 Faber ( 26 ), cobble
113 Løvdal ( 29 ), hillsclimb
114 Perea ( 29 ), sprint
115 Colaco ( 28 ), sprint

Good luck everyone !  :)

I forgot tactics this morning, not very smart. Luckily it was at a race where i didnt have much chance but still. Fortunately i had better luck at the transfer market. Poldolja decided to sign for my team in search of own glory and to help Verbeek.

No one could beat cabrasverdes there. His riders were #1, #2, #4 and *5 favourite. I had to take some risk, but in the end 'just' seconds. That was the max possible. It was a weird race, though, I didn't expect the group to break in s1 already. From s3 onwards Jackson had to do it on its own (while I thought the risk I took was in s4), so that's a pity. Next stop will be the E3.

Yeah, its a real specific stage with a lot more cobble compared to other Cobblehill classics. I have never really been able to perform there. If i had to lose a race this is one of the best for me :p

stage 2 PN ;
Jannakopulosz
Excellent result !
It was a thrilling Dutch-Hungarian sprint between stage winner Cruyff, Jannakopulosz, Pelle and VanNieuwkoop.
And maybe surprising that Jannakopulosz and VanNieuwkoop could sprint for victory,
both have a much lower position in the golden hill-sprint ranking than Pelle and Cruijff, the numbers 1 and 2 in that ranking.
Congratulations to 1A-debutant TilburgTerriërs with the first 1A-victory !  8)

I think it has to do with the managing qualities of the teams from those 2 Vos. I cant think of anything else :p. Shame that he missed the podium but a good result nonetheless. Grats to Cruyff and Tilburg. A quick adaption to the 1st division. Very nice!

Just noticed, ten races down, and all four Div1 Aussie teams have won a race.  We need to do an extra Aussie (Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi Oi).

Race 2       Coen Zuidam      26   SPORTLIFE
Race 6       Bart Jackson      26   Zatarra
Race 8       Ben Mitchum      29   Aurora_Australis
Race 10    Efrain Segura   24   $Tourmalet

Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi Oi

And some more :
Aussie Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi Oi
Because just 2 teams in 1A won all different medals so far, and both teams are Australian and first in the medal ranking of 1A :

1. Zatarra = 1x + 1x + 1x
1. SPORTLIFE = 1x + 1x + 1x
3. Five teams with 1x gold + 1x silver ; including Aurora Australis

stage 4 PN ;
6º  Faber
stage 5 PN ;
7º  Løvdal --> unexpectedly he scores some GC points too with a 15th place GC.
SPORTLIFE did very good in Paris-Nice, let's go to the Tirreno !  :)
