No sorry needed, Floppy, I saw that 19yo Australian and he was not good enough for this game.
Although he was really close, if only some stats were a little bit different.
I even suspect you tried to sell him for 1,- and if he is not sold, it is logical you fire him.
And place in your team for a much better cyclist is of course very good. :)

This weekend I will post the u20 list again. At the moment 25 x 19yo's.
A few potential good ones, maybe very good, but it seems to me that in general this new 19yo generation is not lucky in recruiting/scouting.

RACE 3 : SPRINT IN MILAN

2ºC

Milan, Italy,
My text about this sprint race in the too optimistic season preview says enough :
race 3   Milano ; sprint
A sprint race is easy to compare with past results ;
s5= zero points, s6= , s7= 11º, s8= zero points, and in previous season 9 there were 2 sprint races ; 11º and zero points.
A sprint race is always gambling and the level goes up every season because of new young topsprinters.
The best Australian sprinter is Nelson, he is the current nr 99 in the golden sprint list.
45 flat sprinters are better than Nelson, and probably a few other sprinters too who are listed as hills sprinter.
Let's hope the tactics will be good, so Nelson does great and can repeat the first result ( not the second result ) of season 9.
prediction = 110 points ( or zero ? )

Nelson gets more than sufficient support in this selection that consists almost exclusively of sprinters.
Two xp-cyclists are selected, the very young talents Blair (sprint) and Shields (flat-hills).

Australia NT selection :

Derek Nelson ( 28 ) Yvo_Meppelink_ProCycling
Tony Carter ( 28 ) HorsCategorieProTeam
David Dixon ( 28 ) LosTxinosKudeiros
Oliver Stamer ( 26 ) FaltososDeChigre
Brent Hunter* ( 24 ) FrançaiseDesJeux
Stu Woods ( 28 ) TeamRHB
Ryan Pierre ( 23 ) Shiro_Lions
- - - - - - - - - -
Jasper Blair ( 20 ) Manicomicos_Cycling_Team
Gerard Shields* ( 21 ) Quickstepbronx

 ???  Suddenly teamcaptain Nelson could not follow the peleton of 94 ( ! ) cyclists in section 2.
And all 6 Australian helpers had no problems and were in the huge peleton of s2, even the ones who took risk in the helpers tactic.
Very weird, I guess Nelson was sick in this NT sprint race, otherwise I cannot explain this result :  111º  Nelson   :-[ :o
We can rule out that he became sick due to a virus in his team, because his Dutch teammate won.

After this strange and very dissapointing sprint race, Australia is now last in the ranking by nations. :(
Next week a time trial, it is up to Aurora Australis to save us from a major disaster failure this season.

Funny information and not exaggerated, almost a fact ;
when the 20yo Blair would have had the teamcaptain role, most likely he would have finished better than Nelson in a teamcaptain role.
And this is one of the many indications that this was a very weird sprint race of Nelson.

"The bullet" Blair is asking for the teamcaptain role ASAP! He is the future of the NT, he is the one that is going to rule the sprint races in the game!! haha

A future certainty, and also his name "The Bullet" Blair is more suited for the teamcaptain role than "The Snail" Nelson. :))

RACE 4 : TORINO TIME TRIAL

5ºC

Chieri, north west Italy,
6 out of the 7 selected AA-time-trialists scored 920 points in the time trial of previous season.
Three-time world champion Levin won that race, and one-time world champion Trump finished as 2nd.
Hopefully again such a successful time trial.

The best 9 TT-specialists are selected, because on a lucky day also the 3 least ones can score a few points.
Unfortunately this means there is no room for the young Australian talents. They might get their chance on extra xp in the next NT race.

Australia NT selection :

Richard Levin ( 28 ) Aurora_Australis
Isaac Trump ( 28 ) Aurora_Australis
Paul Clickett ( 27 ) Aurora_Australis
Christian Pinkney ( 27 ) Aurora_Australis
Owen Acree ( 28 ) Aurora_Australis
Ben Mitchum ( 28 ) Aurora_Australis
Neil Bell ( 27 ) Aurora_Australis
David Wilson ( 26 ) Frenkie
Jim Slipper ( 28 ) TeamRHB
