We will miss Vos.  One can hope some players will decide to come Down Under.

Great job Vos.  We're not going to get a similar result next season, for the simple fact that our entire crop of climbers is heading toward retirement, our remaining TTers have had their final properly competitive season, & our sprinters are weaker.  It's a question of how quickly a suitable replacement guard can come through the ranks.

Btw, for curiously & comparison, are you able to do a current rankings list?

I'm pleased to have managed above mediocre for the first time in how many years.  Patrick Kok, Foeke, and others still clearly have superior recent records and will be seeking to be top of the table by the end of next year, but for now I can do the king of the table dance.

I'm currently 10th in all of WCS for Spain.  Not a lot of points difference between 10th & 135th (Foeke), so I figure I'll do a little self-boasting promo whilst I'm actually up there because it's unlikely I'll be there at the end.

I have a business, I don't see myself being active here for some time; besides pulling & initial training cyclists I'm not checking the talent levels on.

The first of the large number of picks, 9 for Eddie Dunbar, is out.  Team Jayco isn't doing too well on this front.

(ok rant here)
How on earth did they think a twilight stage was the way to go?  Seriously?  I don't think this is the first time I've criticised this tour's planning.  Obviously they wanted prime time TV viewing plus whatever America picks up, however they highlight that they're not capable to doing this to an acceptable standard when weather or events aren't the perfect vision they have in their heads.  If they want to do these things, they need to consider what happens if it's wet or any other adverse weather events, and plan for these possibilities.  All they do is highlight that they're not close to TdF standard, as much as I'd like to set the tour knocked down a few pegs.
(rant over.  Hopefully this time it hasn't made much impact on the actual event)

When have the men had the team car go through the convoy as a pacer?  Answer is never.
They use the other team cars and are reminded not to spend too long behind a single car.
They made it that obvious a penalty had to be made.  Penalising the team car is pointless, the only penalty that matters is any against a rider.  And if they let it go, it would have green-lighted this type of activity.

I recall men cyclists being kicked off tours (not TdF) for much less significant offences a few years ago.  The only thing is the double standards of which male competitor.  One example was an Aussie cyclist who got kicked out of a tour after spectators blocked half the road & he went on the footpath for several hundred meters.  It was a straight road and he lost 50 places in the peloton, but they claimed he got an advantage.
That same week, the favoured Sagan on live broadcast took a deliberate shortcut through a town square because he was at the back of the peloton and needed to get to the front, and they ignored it.  That was actually the point in which I stopped watching the sport.

I'm afraid that both Gayfords have low talent.  A couple of mine are ok, but I'm still seeking better.

Here's a question.  Ignoring the crashers, if you could replace one of your cyclist (for one with equal or less points), who would you get rid of? And who would be their replacement?

It appears that the team felt the he wasn't going to make it, and possibly made the announcement quickly so as to not have rumours.
Of course I don't think it's official until he doesn't show up for stage 10.

Maybe explained by that there are just a very few (more or less-) active Australian managers, probably you can count them on 1 hand.
Including the not-so-active TeaMetal & myself, the count I have is 6.  Of course by my count there are only around 180 or so managers in the game, and maybe 20 created teams last season (including one time flyby registrations), so it's pretty standard these days here.
