Exciting the victory of Del Toro (just 1 'r'; I believe it would be van de Stier in Dutch). It's not common to see Mexican cyclists, even less winning a tour  :o

Evenepoel wins mountain stage 3 by outsprinting other GC favorites, but he crashed after the finishline due to too much crowd there.

Out of the break away group, Kuss wins mountain stage 6. The just 20yo Martinez is the new GC leader.
Also a nice battle between the top GC contenders ; Evenepoel was struggling and lost 0:32" to his 2 Jumbo-Visma rivals.

A few nasty crashes in this race, and one of the victims was Arensman ( 3x picked ), who had to leave this Vuelta by ambulance.
I just saw an interview with him. It shows that he hit the road hard with the rightside of his body & face. But surprisingly, no fractures.

  D.van Poppel ( Bora-Hansgrohe ) wins sprint stage 6 and ended the 5x winning streak of Jumbo-Visma.

Total domination of Jumbo-Visma in this brutal mountain stage with finish on the Tourmalet.
Vingegaard won this stage. GC leader Kuss finished as 2nd, and Roglič finished as 3rd.
These 3 Jumbo-Visma cyclists are now the current top 3 GC ; 1. Kuss, 2. Roglič, 3. Vingegaard.
Two former rivals had a bad day and dropped early in this race ; Almeida finished on 6:47" and Evenepoel finished on 27:05"
