Training
« on: February 25, 2019, 06:40:32 PM »
*Coach & Basic Training*

Your trainer coach is specialized in training only one skill.  If your cyclist is training to the coach's speciality, the skill improvements (without bonuses) are as follows.

* Training With Coach Speciality - U24 Cyclists
0 and 20 - 100% = +0.75 skill per training session
20 and 40 - 80% = +0.60 skill per training session
40 and 60 - 60% = +0.45 skill per training session
60 and 80 - 40% = +0.30 skill per training session
80 and 90 - 20% = +0.15 skill per training session
90 and 100 - 10% = +0.075 skill per training session

* Training With Coach Speciality - Age 24+ Cyclists
0 and 20 - 100% = +0.25 skill per training session
20 and 40 - 80% = +0.20 skill per training session
40 and 60 - 60% = +0.15 skill per training session
60 and 80 - 40% = +0.10 skill per training session
80 and 90 - 20% = +0.05 skill per training session
90 and 100 - 10% = +0.025 skill per training session

(note: Before taking aged 24+ skill depreciation into account)

If your cyclist is training in a different skill, then that cyclist will train at 70% (of the above) efficiencies.

* Trainer Speciality
Quote: "Your trainer is a specialist in _______
You train this skill at normal speed (100%); you train all other skills at 70% of the normal speed"

this means
If you set your trainer speciality to Cobblestone.
then
Any cyclist training in Cobblestone will train at 100% efficiency.
Any cyclists training in a different skill (eg: hills - sprint - stamina etc) will train at 70% efficiency.

*Bonuses*

Bonuses affect training speed.

* Talent
All cyclists have a hidden talent attribute.  This affects how fast your cyclists will train.  A cyclist with 0 talent will not gain a talent training bonus, whereas a 5 talent cyclist will gain a 30% training bonus (above base training).

Distribution of the percentage of runners and talents: -
Talent 0 = 0% training bonus
Talent 1 = 4% training bonus
Talent 2 = 9% training bonus
Talent 3 = 15% training bonus
Talent 4 = 22% training bonus
Talent 5 = 30% training bonus

There are same number of cyclist in every talent value.

* U24 Bonus
Cyclists aged 19 to 23 gain 0.02 in every skill (all skills - including aggression, not just skill being trained [doesn't include experience]) per training session (regardless of whether the cyclist is training or resting).  This equals an increase of 1.82 per skill per season.
This is not affected by any other training bonuses or penalties.

*Other Items*

* Decimals
All skills are in decimals (eg 56.38); the decimals simply aren't displayed.

* Maximum Skill
The maximum achievable in a skill is 100 (100.00).  Continuing training in that skill beyond that provides zero benefit.

* Health
If your cyclists trains, he loses one health point with each training session.  Resting will improve health.  Hiring a masseur &/or doctor with 'Recovery' skill will improve resting benefit.

* Form
Form below 90% will reduce training effeciency.
<90% to 85% form = 10% slower training
<85% to 80% form = 20% slower training
<80% form = 30% slower training

* Aggression
Aggression can't be trained directly.
Every 10 points of hills or sprint up one of aggression.
Every 20 points of mountains, plains or stamina decreases aggression by one.
[aggression also gains u24 bonus - at the same rate as other skills]

*Age 24-30
From age 24 to age 30, cyclists lose 0.005 in every skill every training session

*Age 31+
From age 31, the loss in trained skills after every training session increases as the cyclist ages.
31 y: -0.01
32 y: -0.015
33 y: -0.02
34 y: -0.025
35 y: -0.03
36 y: -0.05
37 y: -0.07
38 y -0.09
>38 y: -0.12

Extra: Youth Training Tips
General advice that had been stated many times in the CFF2 English-Spanish-Dutch "Ask Anything" threads.

It's generally accepted that if you're training youth cyclists, you must do the following:
* Have the Doctor-Masseur's "cumulative fatigue" score at 195+ (see staff faq).
* Have all youth cyclists training in the same main skill.
* Have the trainer coach specialising in that same skill
(see above).
* Keep training in that one main skill until your youth cyclists are at least 90 in that skill before changing team training.
* Race youth cyclists as per "form bonus"
(see staff faq).
It's generally accepted that if you can't commit to this type of training schedule, then don't train youth cyclists.

Skill loss:
At 31 should be "-0.01"
At 33: should be "-0.02"
