It doesn't happen to me very often, but I think I've hit the motherload:

Marc Huling   Age : 19   Wage : 855
Stamina : 69   Sprint : 27   Climbing : 0
Flat : 58   Cobblestone : 56   Technique : 72
Downhill : 33
Hills : 64   Aggressiveness : 56
Time Trial : 6   Teamwork : 8   Experience : 0

The only problem is that he doesn't really fit my schedule (flat - technique - stamina) and only benefits from the flat training at first. It will give me the opportunity to figure out his talent rating, but I'm really struggling now with what to do with him. He's such a diamond.

Very nice one, Zatarra.  :)
I'm sure the Australian TeaMetal of Horace will be very interested, he tries to start up a 19yo ( Australian ) cobblehills team.
And I estimate Huling is (much) better than his best 19yo.
Of course, this is just a remark, understandable if you keep and train Huling yourself.

Thanks for the 19yo's lists, Aurora Australis !  8)

Unfortunately, I had to fire the best hillsclimber of that list.
In my opinion he was good, but not very good and missing out potential, and my team was full what was the main reason to fire him.
So I could recruit another 19yo hillsclimber with a higher GV and also much more potential ( good flat as extra, + some TT as extra ).
Gilbert Fagan is for sale for just 1,- and he has some bids :

Race 3

Quote
Selections :
Derek Nelson   30   Yvo_Meppelink_ProCycling (leader?)
Tony Carter   30   HorsCategorieProTeam
Ryan Pierre   25   Shiro_Lions
Jasper Blair   22   Manicomicos_Cycling_Team

Five more to be selected, possible for experience.
Prospects: Another race where our cyclists are several AV behind.  It just means that we have to make the race work for us.

Results:

About your questionmark ;
I know that 2 seasons ago Derek Nelson was the best flat sprinter of Australia, in previous season 11 there was no NT flat sprint race.
In the current CFF ranking of golden sprinters ; nr 107 Derek Nelson and nr 169 Tony Carter.

I see you have completed your NT selection. Good luck this evening, AA !

8ยบ  Derek Nelson
Excellent sprint result, AA, well done !

Next week the time trial, and just one weather icon is active ; sun.
I guess that is good for Australia, but you as super TT expert can estimate this better, AA. Already good luck with your amazing TT specialists.

Nelson did a wonderful job - again. I can remember that any of previous NT coaches of Australia, commented on his lack of stamina. His trainings in this field have resulted in significant improvement of his capabilities.

Better than expected, getting into any points was my goal.  My own Aksel Myklebust was only one spot above, and he's around 2av better according to my calculations.

FIO, you guys are making my coin purse very light :)

Final choices, the hot weather makes it even harder.  Here's the basic TT stats of the yet to be selected as of 1am game time, not taking into account length of race or weather.

Quote
#   Score   Name   Age   Team
1   95.16   David Wilson   28   Facha_Bartolo
2   94.49   Kirk Workman   24   Aurora_Australis (has everything but hot weather)
3   94.22   Jim Slipper   30   Blanes
4   94.16   George Bookout   30   Liberty_Sansaloni
5   93.98*   Charles Iverson   24   Spitz
6   93.94   Angel Morrison   25   Frenkie
7   93.90*   Cameron Carter   28   Antequera
8   93.79   Chris Montgomery   28   Frenkie
9   93.78*   Dean Shields   25   Aurora_Australis
10   93.76   Peter Coleman   25   Frenkie
11   93.74   Gilbert Byers   26   TeamSalpeter
12   93.65   Steve Odom   24   Manicomicos_Cycling_Team
13   93.60   Arthur Marbley   28   Lemosteam
14   93.58   Dan Malone   29   KASTORAMA
15   93.34   Mark Friend   25   Aurora_Australis
16   93.32   Fergus Mayne   25   Kalarratas
* hot weather bonus

Nothing to be decided until Sunday, and exact calculations to be made.  At least five cyclists can argue that they're the rightful pick for the race (I'm thinking Workman misses out - but wait until Sunday).

I would choose guys who need exp, as probably those ones are not going to get points...look to the future.

It is a different situation, Franky, on a lucky day some (or even many) not yet selected TT-specialists can score points too.
I had the same situation as AA the past 2 seasons ; easy to make the main TT selection, but difficult to select the last few.
I gave xp to promising u24 TT specialists in other NT races,
because there was no space in the time trial. But enough space for them in for example a cobblehills NT race.
I suspect AA looks at the estimated GV (including now just 25km), active weather icon and experience more than promising for the future.

For example my TT selections of the past 2 seasons, and as last few selected I had some options and I had to make choices.
I wrote the results of the few last selected in the afterview, and on a lucky day they (and some not even selected) could score points ;

season 11 ( 38km ) preview = https://cyclingforfun.org/smf/index.php?topic=656.msg22949#msg22949
season 11 afterview = https://cyclingforfun.org/smf/index.php?topic=656.msg23019#msg23019
season 10 ( 31km ) preview = https://cyclingforfun.org/smf/index.php?topic=632.msg21905#msg21905
season 10 afterview = https://cyclingforfun.org/smf/index.php?topic=632.msg21948#msg21948

Most likely the TT situation changed compared to the previous 2 seasons, but I assume AA tries to score as much points as possible instead of giving xp to one of the many promising Australian TT specialists.
I selected them as xp cyclists in other NT races, Australia is simply to good in the flat time trial to give cyclists an xp place.

8)

Something else ;
About NT race 4, the time trial of just 25km ; no reaction, Aurora Australis ?
Not many points, just 25 points more than the very unfortunate (4x mechanical breakdowns) time trial of previous season.
But again a NT victory of Isaac Trump. 8)
That is for sure worth mentioning. And also that Australia is 1st in the season ranking now. :)

This was the 10th NT race victory ever, and Australia moved up to 2nd place in the medal table of NT race victories :
1. the Netherlands = 10, = 7
2. Australia = 10, = 5
3. Spain = 10, = 3

In the TOP MANAGERS II ranking Aurora Australis moved up to the 2nd place with this NT race victory.
TeamEuroscalt ( Norway ) and Denver ( Belgium ) have also 4 NT race victories, but TeamEuroscalt has 4x silver and Aurora Australis 2x silver.
Both are NT managers this season (only Denver is not), so maybe a fun battle who is the nr 1 at the end of this season.
AA has a chance with Angus Friend in NT race 7, although his best result was 3rd in the only pure NT cobble race ever (s11).
And maybe also a chance in NT race 6 with Oscar Smith ( SPORTLIFE  :) ) if his very low xp does not affect the result too much.

Of course also good to mention  ; since previous season, Australia is 1st in the more important medal table of NT season results :
1. Australia = 3, = 2, = 3
2. Spain = 3, and no silver and no bronze
3. Belgium = 2, and no silver and no bronze

Isaac Trump is again on hand to deny the win to any other nation in the TT NT race.  Between Trump (3) & Levin (4), it should make seven straight TT NT wins for Australia.

Results:
Position   Name   Country   Age   Time behind   Points
1st   Isaac Trump      30   0: 00"   300
3rd   Richard Levin      30   0: 03"   225
8th   Paul Clickett      29   0: 11"   140
12th   Ben Mitchum      30   0: 12"   100
21st   Christian Pinkney      29   0: 17"   0

What it takes to be Australia's & CFFs best TTers

AUSTRALIAN u21 - Cyclists to note
Anyway, as nobody in Australia will be looking forward to this Sunday's NT race, let's see who is the best of the 110 Aussie u21 cyclists currently (see attachment).
