A group of 35 sprinted for victory. Final podium ;  1st van Gils,  2nd Aranburu,  3rd Sheehan.

A fierce battle on the last brutal mountain( with atop finish ), including the fierce battle for the final GC.
Carapaz wins the stage.
Ayuso lost the leader jersey and even dropped to 5th GC. C.Rodríguez is now the GC leader with 1 more sprint stage to go.

  van den Broek wins stage 6 and takes the GC lead.

McNulty wins the 15,5 km time trial in dry conditions.
The GC contenders had to ride it in very rainy conditions, Ayuso was the best of them, finished as 4th and he is the new GC leader.

Kalarratas is still the GC leader with 2 more stages to go.
