RULES:
Choose 15 cyclists that add up to 45⭐, following these star ratings:

⭐: up to 860 wage
⭐⭐: up to 1500 wage
⭐⭐⭐: up to 4000 wage
⭐⭐⭐⭐: up to 8000 wage
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: 8000+ wage

Cyclists that are more than 32 yo will be cheaper, and the following stars will be substracted to those corresponding by wage:

33 yo: -⭐; 34 yo: -⭐⭐; 35 yo: -⭐⭐⭐; 36+ yo: fixed value of 1⭐

Selections must have EXACTLY 15 cyclists. If more or less cyclists are chosen, the selection will not be valid.
For a single selection up to 45⭐ can be spent, but this number can be lower than 45. If more than 45⭐ are spent, the selection will not be valid.
If there are more than one non-valid selections (hopefully not), so I don't have to discard participations I will remove cyclists from the selection until they are not breaking the rules, starting with the cyclist with higher wage.

WAGES: the wages taken to calculate the stars will be the initial wages of the season, showed during pre-season. After 1am update on from Sunday to Monday, wages will be changed for cyclists that have made points on a 1st div race or a NT race. Therefore, if when calculating the stars you see that the cyclist has scored points (regular calendar or NT), you will have to use the following formula:

Pre-season wage = Current wage - [current points - points made after last 1am update] - [(current NT points - NT points made after last 1am update) x 3]

SCORING SYSTEM: Only the top10 of each tour/stage in 1st division will get points

DEADLINE

The first scoring race will be Strade Bianche, therefore the deadline will be Wednesday 19th January at 23:59, CFF time. IMPORTANT: add the initial pre-season wage of the cyclist next to his name when doing the selection. Selections can be sent via CFFantasy, and they will be published on the following day or whenever I have time to put them together. I can receive them on discord chat as well, but when possible just fill the form, so I can download them together.
If anyone wants to change their selection before the deadline, they only have to re-submit the selection on the Google Form, under the same team name. I will take the last selection submitted.

About being a volunteer for the CFFantasy game ;
I understand it is just about setting the pre-season wages into stars ?
Because the pre-season wages determine the stars.

And I assume the formula is only needed for picks who are not on the big list,
ánd who had an increase of wage due to NT race 1 and/or the TDU.
In other perspective ;
if everyone made their 15 picks before the first season update, the formula is not needed.
In fact, in this case posting a big list is not even needed.

But I do understand the purpose of the formula due to the later deadline, before Strade Bianche.
And therefore I do understand the big list with stars, determined by their pre-season-wages.

The most easy would be to set the deadline 1 minute before the first season update.
But with a big list of cyclists + stars based on pre-season wages, it is also easy to participants,
ánd they can make last-minute changes before the later deadline ( before SB ),
by picking a cyclist of the big list
and/or by picking a cyclist who is not on the big list and only then use the formula.

Anyway, if I'm right that the only job of a volunteer is setting pre-season wages into stars,
I can do 100 cyclists easily ( already on Friday ), no problem to me and glad to help.

Yes, if the selection is made before the first update, there is no need of lists or calculations, the wages are just the ones showed in game.

But on previous Predictions games that included TDU, my experience is that many managers are off the game during pre-season and only come back after the first update. Therefore I think the late deadline is essential to have many participants.

The only job required here is to make and send me/post here a list like this one:

With the cyclists that I will distribute. Probably it won't be more than 10 minutes to do the 20. The only problem is that it has do be done during the timeframe that I posted earlier:

Because this is the only time that the pre-season wage will be shown on the cyclist profile. With the season update on Thursday night, it decreases; and after the first training&transfermarket update, it may increase depending on points made.

We have already 5 volunteers (3 more from the chat). On Thursday evening I will distribute depending on how many we are, and I will consider the ones who have offered to do more in case it is needed. As soon as I receive the lists, I will be updating the game instructions post with the cyclists.

In case you did not think of this ;
Not all cyclists have to be on the big list. Only the hills, flat-hills, sprint, hills-sprint, time trial, and TDU-GC cyclists have to be on the big list.
All other types of cyclists will have the same salary before Omloop Het Nieuwsblad as they had before the first season update.
So, my suggestion is to move up the deadline 1 race, to before Omloop Het Nieuwsblad.
Another option is to keep the deadline of before Strade Bianche, and add all major cobblehills specialists to the big list.

NT race 1 = always hills or flat-hills.
the 5 TDU stages = sprint + time trial + hills sprint + hills sprint + flat hills.

OK, good point, focus on hillers, sprinters and TTers. Then I think we might cover all those between the ones that have already offered as volunteers. With the deadline at midnight before Strade, points made on TDU Stage 5, TDU GC and Omloop will not be reflected on the cyclist wage before the game deadline.

Maybe if some of us send in our choices prior to the NT, that would serve a similar purpose, after all it seems as if the volunteer part would be duplicated by multiple managers regardless.

After the comment made by Vos, now I think there are not so many cyclists that will change their wage during the first races of the season. So most probably I'll use the help of the 5 managers that already volunteered to make a quick list of hillers, TTers and sprinters, and I will publish it probably on Friday.
I don't consider using the choices sent before the NT race 1 because:
1) usually most selections are made last minute, and only a couple of managers send them during preseason
2) that will give hints to others, and the intention is to keep the selections secret until the deadline.
Regarding 2), It's true that I can still see the selections as I am making the Google Form, but I don't look at them until I have made mine. If anyone don't believe my word, I'm happy to transfer the Google Form if anyone that is not going to participate volunteers to do it, but at the moment everyone seems to be participating.

Everything is ready on the first post. You can find most of the riders which could change wages after Sunday on the list. If the rider that you are trying to select has made points and is not on the list, use the formula.
