If you take the minimum % of each skills, it adds 105%.
Climbing 25%
Cobblestone 25%
Downhill 15%
Hills 15%
Stamina 15%
Aggressiveness 5%
Technique 5%

Not that it affects anything in the game, but just to mention it.

Oska has indicated in the past that the total value of the combined skills can be under or above 100%. That indeed is a contradiction ("I see you are working 60% on this project, what are you doing in the remaining 140%?...  ). So rather than percentages you should see them as points which can remain under 100 or exceed 100. I personally think that the percentages in the explanation below the stars should be removed. But I am a mathematician, there might be other opinions about this.

Good to know. Although as Combuijs says it makes no sense. If you don't know the total sum then the number that the stars indicate is completely useless. I guess that if the sum is always close to 100, you can rely on the numbers with some small error. But not being completely sure of that, I'd rather have a list of all skills that count ordered by importance than the stars.
