Thanks Vos for the update! Congrats to Vos and Mitte for the really strong season and see you (hopefully) next season!

Congrats Mlb! It was close, just 9 points behind you (and Vos 8 points behind me). Don't worry, I'll win the jersey next year with the WC in Kigali, Rwanda. I am the king of Tour du Rwanda (2x, tied with Animatoca but I win due to the most recent victory  :P), so I'll use all my knowledge about the Mur de Kigali.

By the way, next year women U23 will have a separate race, so hopefully there will be 6x races in the WC jersey game.

I noticed there are only 4 left in the games calendar in WCS, skipping the three World Tour category races in China, plus many .Pro races. Are the admins just not keen on the season end or should we worry?

I just realised that winning the women's race is absolutely worthless with only two races this year :D

Well, if they skipped the elite TTs, no doubt they will skip any u23 races. It looks very much like it's going to be just the two that are already on the schedule. I guess the admins are fed up with the season already  :-\

Interestingly, the TTs were not even in the races calendar (including those without games), where they have a lot of races including 2.2, 1.2 and u23. It's worrisome. Are they on holidays? Is it the end of WCS?

I did not see this race with, to me, unexpected results and surprising GC shifts. Maybe the race profile was different as I thought.

It was a gamble at the end. Everyone against Van der Poel. Van der Poel didn't have any helpers (3 of them had to abandon on stage 1), so when the hills came at the end (short but steep), everyone was trying to attack (Hirschi and Vansevenant the most insistent) and Van der Poel kind of trying to tackle every attack. The lucky attack was the one of the quartet (Gaudu, Tiberi, Simmons, Jegat) for which Van der Poel didn't have any remaining strenght/didn't estimate them dangerous enough. After they took some gap, of course no one wanted to pull behind (only Hirschi for UAE, Ayuso was struggling and fell behind in a third group which eventually caught the VdP/Hirschi/Vansevenant group). On the final hill, VdP attacked, followed by Pedersen, but the front group was already too far away.

It wasn't much of a sprint considering that both of them ride for the same team  :P. They both celebrated and Kasia gave Neve the win because she had better GC position.

It seems WCS still gave points on the stage 5 of Dauphiné (GC points I think). Winner was Vlominck.

Rodriguez's and Ayuso’s unspoken alliance allowed the two to power into the finish line with roughly 40 seconds advantage on Skjelmose -  Rodriguez taking the stage, and both moving onto the GC podium.

It was quite spoken  ;D Rodríguez even said at the post-race interview that they had agreed for him take the stage and that he was happy that Ayuso won the GC.

It's the second year with Paris-Nice testing this experiment. Last year they did the same, although it was a flat TT. I think it doesn't make much of a difference except for the fact that the team GC leader can go solo on the last climb to try and gain a few more seconds, but for the most part any team need several cyclists, otherwise the speed is going to be slower. A good example this year was BORA, which left only three riders after the first climb, and clearly that wasn't enough and led them into losing time.

To be honest, for flat TTTs, I prefer the traditional rules where it's the 3rd-4th-5th cyclist the one that marks the time for the whole team. It is more 'team-like'. If there is a final climb, I can see the benefit of these rules.
