Alex Byers   29   Fountain
Keith Sheehan   29   Sabmazz
Gerard Shields   23   Quickstepbronx
Keith Hunter   22   catapunchimpon

Final three to be good young prospects who haven't had many NT races yet.
Prospects: Sliver cobble with bronze hills, vs gold & gold cobbles/hills?  Not going to happen.

Results:

Race 6

Quote
Selections :
Leroy Benett   30   Pitisitos
Oscar Smith   25   SPORTLIFE

Not much hope for any other points scorers, so loads of experience up for grabs, particularly for those with few NT races but trained/raced well by managers.
Prospects: We will gain good points, however it's likely at least one of Ukraine, Netherlands, Spain will also score thus ending the title chase for us this weekend.

Results:
Position   Name   Country   Age   Time behind   Points
2nd   Oscar Smith      25   0: 01"   250      SPORTLIFE
10th   Leroy Benett      30   0: 12"   120      Pitisitos

While we're here, here's some considerations for the remaining 7 spots

CLIMB-TTers
#   Score   Name   Age   Team
1   94.59   Oscar Smith   25   SPORTLIFE (picked)
2   93.61   Leroy Benett   30   Pitisitos (picked)
3   88.25   Walt Logsdon   28   RajenKujen (looks too low to have any chance at points)
4   88.04   Keith Hamsten   25   Matterhorn
5   86.13   Gordon Seaman   23   catapunchimpon
8   81.62   Isaac Olssen   22   GOAT (maxed stat, like really, use the u24 bonus to your advantage - plus just 2 exp)
16   76.56   Dave Gilbee   21   TipiCyclingTeam
20   74.22   Lenny Owen   20   La_Vie_Claire
23   73.05   Ben Clapton   20   Oska
25   70.67   Fenton Teinert   20   Team_Elrosportu
35   64.53   Christian Pocock   19   Aurora_Australis
36   64.03   Dominic Chapman   19   Aurora_Australis

FLAT-TTers
#   Score   Name   Age   Team
1   98.64   Richard Levin   30   Aurora_Australis (for comparison)
2   98.44   Isaac Trump   30   Aurora_Australis
3   97.76   Paul Clickett   29   Aurora_Australis
4   97.44   Christian Pinkney   29   Aurora_Australis
9   94.42   Kirk Workman   24   Aurora_Australis
11   94.21   Dean Shields   25   Aurora_Australis
13   94.01   Charles Iverson   24   BlackHole
21   90.81   Marcus McClure   23   Ciclokillers
22   89.04   Julian Frances   22   Nibbixwoud (no - at zero experience - why don't managers race them??)
28   78.18   Jason Duffy   20   Frenkie
29   77.53   Bud Mount   20   ChronoTony
30   75.85   Walt Judd   20   Frenkie
32   75.23   Larry Vaughn   20   Frenkie
33   74.68   Sam Hunter   20   Frenkie
39   72.16   Nobby Licuria   19   Aurora_Australis (around 40 odd days ahead of Duffy & Mount at same level - but was raced last week so unlikely)
41   71.40   John Friess   19   Aurora_Australis
44   68.05   Tod Henderson   19   Aurora_Australis
45   67.59   Kirk Clinton   19   Aurora_Australis
46   67.05   Markus Benett   19   Aurora_Australis
48   66.23   Christian Pocock   19   Aurora_Australis

Of course there might be one or two outside of TT completely.

No Steve Odom or Kevin Duncan as options??  :-\

Odom is slightly behind the others at a similar age (& no weather bonus to compensate - mind you it's all very close), and the generation behind is strong (TTers have been trained better than any other cyclist type); Kevin well I hadn't looked at the TT-Hillers yet, so it's unknown, but looking at the start of season stats 25yo Angel Morrison would be an added possibility.  Jasper would be an option if I went outside of TT, but he's already got 8 NT races at such a young age.

HILL-TTers
#   Score   Name   Age   Team
1   88.89   Angel Morrison   25   Frenkie
2   87.48   Ben Mitchum   30   Aurora_Australis
3   87.25   Peter Coleman   25   Frenkie
9   84.67   Kevin Duncan   23   Manicomicos_Cycling_Team
22   71.84   Walt Judd   20   Frenkie
23   70.51   Sam Hunter   20   Frenkie
24   68.09   Keith Brubaker   20   Frenkie

FLAT-TTers
85.76   Kevin Duncan   23   Manicomicos_Cycling_Team

Btw: At the moment, Jason Duffy would be almost certain, maybe Lenny Owen &/or Ben Clapton (would look at actual stats), then choices are harder.  I seriously can't see Walt Logsdon or Keith Hamsten having any chance at points, that would be the only reason to select them, and that would decide how many is left to select.

Not bad Kevin, having 23, is the 9th in HILL-TTers, and is going to start training hills soon  :D

The final 7 selections are as follows.

Walt Logsdon   28   RajenKujen (Couldn't leave a 1% change of a miracle - likely wasted selection)
Kirk Workman   24   Aurora_Australis (The heir apparent to Australia's TT hopes until the 19-20 year olds mature)
Jason Duffy   20   Frenkie (top 20yo flat TTer)
Walt Judd   20   Frenkie (top 20yo hill TTer 3rd flat)
Christian Pocock   19   Aurora_Australis (top 10yo climb TTer)
Leroy Ablett   19   lasposturas (top u21 sprinter)
Tod Henderson   19   Aurora_Australis (with Licuria having raced, is next top flat-TTer)

-----

<23yo previously selected this season

x2 Keith Hunter      22   catapunchimpon
Wilt Frances      22   Manicomicos_Cycling_Team
Tim Malone      22   Manicomicos_Cycling_Team
Keith Hunter      22   catapunchimpon
Jasper Blair      22   Manicomicos_Cycling_Team
Danny Carpenter      21   los_leones_del_sur
Norm Bush      20   Orange
Nobby Licuria      19   Aurora_Australis

-----

Not selected
74.38   Lenny Owen   20   La_Vie_Claire (Climb-TTer training issues)
73.61   Ben Clapton   20   Oska (other Climbers in team aren't TT, so Oska won't train TT next, meaning he will slip)
84.82(hill)   Kevin Duncan   23   Manicomicos_Cycling_Team (still silver Hill-TTer - over 4AV below Morrison)
85.89(flat)   Kevin Duncan   23   Manicomicos_Cycling_Team (long way behind)
88.89(hill)   Angel Morrison   25   Frenkie (hill & flat TT - slightly unlucky not to get final spot, note 94.11flat)
87.42   Peter Coleman   25   Frenkie (hill TT)
89.14   Julian Frances   22   Nibbixwoud (flat TT - never been raced, no point giving exp in this situation - would have been selected otherwise)
77.74   Bud Mount   20   ChronoTony (flat TT, almost selected, maybe unlucky, just not quite our best)
68.50   Kirk Clinton   19   Aurora_Australis (two weather bonuses, maybe on edge of selection if not in my team - or maybe just off)

I believe that's all the possibilities mentioned.

Is Denis Moore somewhere on your list or is his TT to low?

Well it seems that we were never in the running for the championship.  Results to be posted further up.  Now to go for a hoped stage 7 win.

Is Denis Moore somewhere on your list or is his TT to low?
If you look on page one, he'll appear on one of these lists.

2ยบ  Oscar Smith   0:01" :'(
Well, the victor (nr1 CFF ranking since today) had an active weather icon and he is most likely more experienced.
Hopefully next season another mountain TT as NT race, so I have a chance to win a NT race with one of my cyclists for the first time ever.
Although, for the world championship chances of Australia it is maybe not good there will be a mountain TT again, because Spain scored 640 points.

No candidates yet for next season. Who wants do this honorable and fun job ?

Thnx! I was hoping he would be selected for the NT race last Sunday, but he's not nearly good enough.

Another young aussie is joining Manicomicos

Jason Owens   Age : 23   Wage : 815
Stamina : 83   Sprint : 16   Climbing : 100
Flat : 46   Cobblestone : 30   Technique : 86
Downhill : 88
   Hills : 38   Aggressiveness : 51
Time Trial : 40   Teamwork : 46   Experience : 24

It was cheap, and most of my training can be good for him, now Stamina, then hills, a bit of flat, a bit of TW, a bit of Tech...maybe TT...

That's an whole lot of training in just a few weeks. You know training ends with 24 😉 Good luck with Jason! I had to make room for a new generation, so i had to let him go
