How come Bud Mount has over 100 in TT value...? 

Vos uses an 103 calculation, with prime skills to 100, and experience a bonus 3.  It was the standard formula from back in CFF2.

Maybe I was too positive in my season preview that a few points should be possible in this mountain race,
because Furey ( nr 122 ) is much lower ranked then a few seasons ago when I was also the NT manager.
However, with the teamcaptain bonus and the ( hopefully ) extra helpers bonusses, it still might or should be possible.
The reason of the lower ranking is logical ; now there are many younger, better climbers. Unfortunately not an Australian among them.

Not selected are nr 3 Mount and nr 5 Owen, because both are of in-active teams and I rather select Australians of active teams.
So, I gamble that nr 2 Henderson and nr 4 Iverson are good enough, and that at least one of them does an excellent helpers job.
With just 2 good helpers, also Bush (*weather icon) and debutant Gilliam are selected as extra (semi-)helpers.

4 young talents  ( 2 climbers and 2 time trial specialists ) make their debut too.

Australia is still 1º in the season ranking.
Next week a flat sprint race in the south of the Netherlands. And in extreme weather conditions ; freezing cold ( 0ºC ) and heavy storm. Oh, oh.

Although, there might be a little chance that Australia can surprise in these extreme weather conditions :

Already 7 sprinters are selected because they are easy and obvious choices ;
the best 2 sprinters + a 21yo sprint-supertoptalent + 4 high ranked sprinters with active double weather icons.
Also the 2 remaining places seem to me easy picks, but I have to look into this race more properly before the final 2 are selected.

Interesting to see Wilt over Tim selected in my team... even knowing that Wilt have the 2 weather icon bonus

In my experience ; an active weather icon makes a big difference in a NT race.
Probably even with just 1 active weather icon I would select Wilt before Tim, so with 2 weather icons it is to me an easy and obvious choice.

Just seen this post. Didn't realise James Bush was the number 1 ranked under 23  My training is centered around him

Ok, very good to read that you train James Bush very well. 
I already spotted him in my previous season as Australian NT manager,
that was in season 15 when James Bush entered the game as 19yo.
And immidiately I gave him an xp place to make his debut for Australia in NT race 2 :

As you can read ; the other 2 xp places in this mountain race were for Nobby Licuria and Jasper Blair ;
what gives a good indication how very impressed I was by the 19yo James Bush.
Nice to see that he turned out to be the nr1 u23 DT ánd even more important ; that he has an excellent manager who trains him very well.

No doubt you know this, but I mention it anyway because it can be interesting to other, less experienced managers with Australian talents ;
keep in mind the 0,02 automatically u24 bonus per update.
What is  91 x 0,02 =  + 1,82 point automatically per season on every skill.
A now 22yo will gain 1,82 (next season) + 1,34 (the remain of this season) = + 3,16 point automatically before his 24th birthday.

So, the current hill skill of James Bush is excellent already and he does not need to train that anymore due to the u24 bonus.
Only at the end of next season he needs maybe zero, or most likely just a few hills trainings to get to the important 100  hill skill.
Good luck with the downhill and technique trainings !
And very nice that James Bush has good flat as extra, what makes him suited for all different future NT hills races.
Of course, this good flat skill is in your team also an essential extra, to ride the classic hills races AGR, FW and LBL.
