I write to summon you tomorrow to the polls to decide the manager of our NT. On this path we have met many kind people who have helped us, and also many horrible people who are now dead, but from all this we have learned an important lesson: the honor of the United Kingdom must prevail. I mean, we can not allow the French to ever win us. That's why I ask for your vote to continue kicking French asses until we run out of shoes. It will not be necessary to focus too much on other objectives (Spain dies alone, we already know, Switzerland is still looking for how to get out of its country, Denmark ... where is Denmark?), We know what we want and we know how to get it.

Thank you all. I will not disappoint you.

Hilly stage starting and finishing in Offida, Purito Rodriguez won it in the 2012 Tirreno to Nibali and Di Luca.
It's probably our worst speciality, last season GB was out of the points just on the hilly stage and the plain with cobblestone.
We don't have DT riders and only Carter, our leader, has the hills icon (bronze of course).
We will do our best and we don't dismiss the possibility of gettings some points, even if we are realistics it will be really hard to be among the top20.

Even my idea it to select at least one 19yo rider each week this time as there are already 3 rookies and there still are very few 19yo british riders it won't be the case.

Analysis:
Even if it's a bad result, only 10 points, the level of our riders for the hilly stages is quite low.
I feel the only reason Carter took some points is because he has the snow icon.
My strategy was based on having Carter all the time with the best helper, Kennedy, and it worked as they rode together until 4th part.

And thank you for posting the ratings for Team GB. I have one comment here: in Hills TT, Winn did better than Anderson last season. You might want to keep an eye on that, and maybe adjust the percentages, if necessary. I know, it depends on where the hills are and all that ;) But I had to say something ;D

Keep it up for the next 6 stages!

Post by: edu5 on July 02, 2019, 05:04:10 PM: Yes, in fact the mixed specialities (TT with Hills, mountain with hills, cobblestone with hills) can have hundreds of % so differents based on where the hills are and how many of them are there, so probably the rankings for those specialities are not very representatives.

So, you are right, Churchill was our best man in the stage last season and here he appears 3rd....

One of the toughest World Champioships won by Olano when Indurain was the main favourite.
Even we don't have rider on Mountain DT, we have a nice squad with several riders of great level.

The Falcon Janson was 3rd in this race some weeks ago in 1a, only beaten by Martinusson (NOR) and Miorlin (ITA). The Norwegian team is the main favourtie with several riders with big changes of being among the top 10. Apart of Miorlin, 2nd in the WC, Blaak (NED), Niklitschek (GER) and Bogdanov (UKR) are among the favourites, without forgetting the strong French team.

Tim Bell, 19 yo, will do his first appearance. This will be continued in the next races with at least one 19 yo riders included in the squad, in order to motivate the promotion of GB cyclists.

Analysis:
Acceptable result. Our leader Janson was in the top10, 8th, so we repeated the last season result Bauer collected.
Even Janson was far for the head of the race for most of the race finally in the 4th stretch he connected with Jason Rodriguez and he helped him to reach the top10.

Next 2 stages are good for GB, so let's try to get great results.

Marcel Kittel won this starge in la Vuelta 11 ahead of a young Peter Sagan.

We have a good chance to reach a good result with Seb Walkins. He is 3rd in the DT only behind the 2 hungarians from Intellinet, Andor and Pelle. And for this reason Hungary is the main favourite. Also the Netherlands with Bentinck, the rider with most wins in 1a with 12 and 2nd the last season, the Norwegians with Benjamissen, 4th last season, and Arntsen and the Russians with Petro Gak, last season winner, are the main contenders.

Our target is to reach the podium with Seb, and doing this he will be in the race with the Maillot with Stars

Great result even it cames in an unexpected way. Harris was finally 4th in a helper role, meanwhile Seb Walkins only reached the 12th position coming from the second group. At the end there 300 points that is the equivalent of winning the stage.

It's a given that Anderson has a weather icon in his favour, and my cyclists haven't started flat training (next season some time), although my 2nd best cyclist did beat him in a 2c race earlier this season. Still, it should be 300 points to England by 12-15 seconds.

Analisis:
This race was the closing stage of the Tour de Suisse 2018. Küng won it and Porte was the winner of the GC.

Denis Mr Crono Anderson is the main favourite. He is the number one of the Dream Team and his team mate Jobet, 9th in the DT, and Andresen, 10th in the DT, seem to be far from his level. Also Anderson is an especialist in rainy days, as it is expected today, so this is an extra for him.

Apart of Anderson our other option for the points is Glass, another specialitst in rainy days.
Our main rivales today are Jobet (FRA), Andresen (DEN), the spaniards Espín and Laguna and the aussies Trump and Levin

Analysis:
Great result. Rose was in the breakaway and his connected with his teammate and leader Laybutt in the 4th section.
He helped him brilliantly and Laybutt finished 2nd only behind the Belgian Pierre who became the 2nd rider winning 2 international stages after our Denis Anderson.

Now we are 3rd in the ranking and our 2 leaders for the last 2 stages are in the DT, so even we are 105 points behind the Aussies and 30 behind the Norwegian why not dreaming with the gold? Of course the Netherlands are 8th just 240 points from us, so maybe finally we are not only out of the podim but also from the top5, but with a PM like Boris Johnson whom can stop us?

Thanks! Chester and Rose did a great race and their combination on the 4th section was the key for such great result.

Post by: edu5 on October 24, 2019, 01:17:38 AM: For the moment, 20th in the Hills stage, 7th in the Mountain stage and 2nd in the Sprint. For me those are expected results, so I cannot be too happy but neither disappointed.

Next stage is the flat TT so all we can do is to be confident with Mr Anderson. The aussies are getting close to him, specially Aurora's guys, but we hope Denis will get his poker of international wins.

Mr Anderson did it again, fourth international win, but also great result from his team mate Winn, 11th, and 20 points for Robinson (19th).

Unless Anderson makes it 6 next year 8)

But indeed, it will be very tough to break the record(s) of the 1 st generation of CFF3 riders. They could win at 19, 20, 21... which will not be possible for the new generations

Great victory for Levin, Anderson fought a lot but He didn't take the victory.

How do you calculate the TT attribute ? What is it, to begin with ? :)
And congratulations on the win! Anderson's winning times are kind of over - the Levin era is fully ON!

We finish in the podium!!. Our last race tactics were try to make the top-10 with Kellman and try to do some points with free riders with agressive tactics. The first part of the stage was good(Kellman) but the free riders were cut in the first flat part. In all case We take the podium and We did the best mark of points in UK history. :D

We haven't a lot of teams or cyclist but We have a good level because our UK managers know how to do the things well. :)

Spain has a lot of cyclists and managers, but I think that it's a level problem, quantity is not the same of quality, and in UK We know a lot of that, because We are in the other way.

Anyway, thanks to all that take care about their UK riders, and I wish a lot of luck for Edu, the next NT manager. I know him well and I know that He is a great manager and He showed it in other seasons with UK. He know that He counts with all my help if He needs me.
