Jasper Blair, 21yo, in the Sprint U23 Dream Team 8)That is exceptional and amazing ! :o 8)
Zatarra has become an Australian team as of today. We hope to become part of the active community and to deliver some talents in the future. 8)Also amazing ! Welcome Down Under, Zatarra ! 8)

u23 Dream TeamHoping to fix that for seasons 14 & 15, or even season 13 if I get somebody as great as Franky's sprinter (although I don't think it'll work with TTers).
Maybe for the first time no Australian TT specialists in it
u23 Dream TeamMaybe not, but having the best u22s is more important than mere top 10s, and there's two top hillers (who appear to be potentially better than the entire CFF hiller class the season prior) , plus Blair. If we could do that every season we'd get a strong NT team.
... and with just 3 Australian 22yo's it is not a good Australian generation.

I will not be training them this season indeed, so I will most likely be pulling TTs, especially for you :).Messaging you :)
What skills' ranges are you looking for being 'perfect'?
Looks like you are hurting a bit in the Hills and Cobbled Hills - am I reading this correctly ?Australia is a small CFF country, we are hurting in several categories. ;)

I missed the Age factor when reading the U24sLooks like you are hurting a bit in the Hills and Cobbled Hills - am I reading this correctly ?Australia is a small CFF country, we are hurting in several categories. ;)
True on cobble hills, Australia sucks in that.
But not true on hills, the best 23yo will be pretty good and has flat and sprint as extra, so also very usefull in "weird" NT hills races.
And at the moment Australia has the nrs 2 and 4 in the hills u23 Dream Team of CFF.
So, hills is very promising for future NT races, it will even be one of the few categories where Australia can score many points.

I am currently looking for motivation; my UK TT generation is peaking, and not much is coming from the youth ranks. UK NT community is not very active, and also missed 2 consecutive NT TT races (sigh :( ). So I will start a rebuild next season; I don't mind switching focus from TT, and I see AU NT is quite active. Do you see where this is going... ? ;D
LE: Yes, I do have a "change country" card 8)
Already welcome Down Under, horace_vr ! 8)OMG, what a speech, what a team party :D
For sure TeaMetal will be a great asset to Australia, and even more importantly, you as person will be great asset too.
All Australian managers are already preparing the barbeque party for your arrival next season. :)

Mount is just one spot behind the Belgian winner in the climbers ranking ;)I did not notice that, a very impressive victory of Suenens.
Just joking, was a real battlefield these mountains.
btw, this will be the 7th international race for Jasper...he will be the 3rd guy with most international races in my team... ;D

Yes, I pamper/spoil him a lot. :-*
Most of his NT selections are because of me as NT manager in previous and this season.
But that is my xp-cyclist policy (also in CFF2) :
a real supertoptalent gets pampered/spoiled, and only if his manager trains him (almost) perfect and gives him enough experience by racing.
Jasper Blair meets those conditions for sure.
By the way, maybe fun to know ; Blair has a by me estimated GV of 74,30 for this race.
Despite this is very low (and very high for a 21yo), he gets a helpers role to see if he is already good enough to be of use.
And tell him if he finishes as last again, I will not pamper/spoil him anymore. :P
Well, "great" is exaggerated when the teamcaptain drops in s3 and is 2nd( ! ) in the group of nrs 19 to 54.
That he was ranked as 2nd in that s3 big chasing group shows that if he had a little bit more luck, he would be on the other side of the cut.
And maybe / probably even could sprint for victory in the first ever NT race in Australia.
Well, it could happen with the hard wind, and one free role did great and scored some extra points.
Jasper Blair was not good enough yet in a 55200 helpers tactic,
but it is promising that he finished very good as 133rd on 1:08" what is more than 4 minutes faster as the last group.
About the NT race of next week ;
Already selected are the 6 TT-specialists of Aurora Australis who in previous season broke the CFF record of most points in one NT race.
For sure the final 3 places will be TT-specialists too, I have plenty of good choice. I did not look into this NT race yet, so they will be selected later.
BTW, we have a U23DT sprint-hiller...is he good experience already for not calling him yesterday?
BTW, we have a U23DT sprint-hiller...is he good experience already for not calling him yesterday?
Good question, he was for sure in the picture.
And even more because I saw he finally trained on sprint last week, it went up 3 points. Very necessary, because it was extreme low for a 22yo.
But I cannot show his stats on the forum without permission of his manager, if you would see that, it explains the not-selection.
He still can be a very good hill-sprinter if every training is 100% sprint from now on till he is 24yo.
And even more an explanation of his not-selection ; I decided to select the best 8 for this race, and just one xp-cyclist.
Also that 22yo would have been an xp-cyclist in this windy NT race, I'm 100% sure he was not good enough to help in 55200.
The as nr8 selected Australian did great in this race, he was as helper even with the teamcaptain in s4.
I'm a bit disappointed in the pool of pullable youngsters for Australia. In the first week I pulled a tour rider (climbing + cobble + TT) who surprisingly was sold for 10M, but I have been pulling TTs since then and found absolutely nothing...I'm having the same fortunes. Fortunately, if this season turns out to be bust, I've got a second season where I can get 19 year old TTers & train them just as good (evidenced by my older TTers).
I'm sorry Aurora. I keep trying, though.

Bern, Switzerland,
Thanks to Aurora_Australis every season many points in the NT time trial. :)
In previous season even a CFF record of most points in one NT race. 8)
Most likely less points this season, but of course, the expectations are very high.
For example ; Can three times world champion Richard Levin win the NT time trial for the 5th( ! ) season in a row ?
Let's hope so. McDermot (USA) is a fierce rival and perhaps more rivals, such as Anderson (GB) with his active weather icon.
None of the Australians have an active weather icon in this NT race.
So far the 8 best TT-specialists are selected.
The last one will be selected later. Also he will be a TT-specialist who might score points if he is lucky.
edit ; the final selected TT specialist is surprising and a bit experimental.
In the Aus.TT-list there are 9 better ones, and in the CFF golden TT-ranking there are 8 better ones.
But it is all close together in GV. And Coleman has an active weather icon, thé reason he is selected.
And maybe it is an advantage for him too that this specific TT race is not really flat and finishes a bit uphill.
Of course, there is a big chance this is not included in the software, and the not high xp of the young Coleman is a disadvantage.
And a big chance it does not matter who I select as last, because in previous season the best 6 Australians scored points.
Australia NT selection :
Richard Levin ( 29 ) Aurora_Australis
Isaac Trump ( 29 ) Aurora_Australis
Paul Clickett ( 28 ) Aurora_Australis
Christian Pinkney ( 28 ) Aurora_Australis
Ben Mitchum ( 29 ) Aurora_Australis
Neil Bell ( 28 ) Aurora_Australis
Owen Acree ( 29 ) Aurora_Australis
David Wilson ( 27 ) Facha_Bartolo
Peter Coleman* ( 24 ) Frenkie
But now i'm not really sureMy reply on this subject by pm.
2 bullets left, keep it up! 8)Thanks Floppy. :)
Amazing NT season Vos! Congratz! :)

the girlfriend of Angus Friend :-*
Well...only a disaster for our side/miracle for Ukranian side would stop us from being champs again...lets cross fingers??? This is a bold statement for a race that never was on the NT calendar and when the difference is just 115 points.
s11 --> CCCCC 231km = ?
s11 --> FFCFC 129km = Australia (6º+13º+18º) 280
s10 --> CFCCC 190km = Australia (9º+11º+17º) 280
s9 --> no flat cobble NT race
s8 --> CFFCC 230km = Australia (1º+19º) 320
s7 --> CFFCC 230km = Australia (1º+18º) 330
s6 --> CFCCC 211km = Australia (4º+18º) 230
s5 --> CFCCC 190km = Australia (4º+17º) 240
s4 --> no flat cobble race
s3 --> CFCCC 190km = Australia (3º) 225
s2 --> CFFCC 230km = Australia (5º) 180
Because I see that Australia already has one good candidate. :)To other Australian managers ; this does not mean you cannot be a candidate, feel free to be a candidate too.
haha, no, I wont be a candidate again soon, so, if any other one wants...Zatarra or Antequera maybe...hehe2 very good options, Franky, the more Australian managers involved in the NT, the better it is.
True, just a low number of active Australian CFF managers.
But awesome and great that Australia had never problems in the NT of all past 10 seasons, thanks to everytime a good NT manager. 8)
I suppose there are countries that are very jealous of the Australian NT circumstances/mentality/conditions. Proud to be Australian ! :P :)
And to make the foreign CFF managers even more jealous, also proud to be Australian because we have waves and pretty girls : :))

Angus Friendchenko, may choose retirement of profesional cycling this saturday night.Can't happen, he's already volunteered to race the NT race, he said that makes forced retirement attempts invalid under CFF guidelines, and to h*** with what his manager claims.
EPO, Russia, Poison, Ukraine - this is yesterday's news already; but Australia...?!?!?!
. . . . . . . . . . BREAKING NEWS . . . . . . . . . BREAKING NEWS . . . . . . . .
Food poisoning in the Ukrainian NT selection.
Now very uncertain if they can ride the last race of the NT season.
Kiev, Ukraine,
The Ukrainian NT manager JGM received a gift from EpoGluck as good luck wish for the upcoming NT race.
Ofcourse the gift was a truckload of peaches, and JGM fed his NT selection all week with those peaches.
But after a few days some Ukrainians got very sick. The cause was quickly found ; the peaches contained a rare gut virus.
It is unknown how long the Ukrainian cyclists will be sick, and if they can ride on Sunday.
The rumor goes that they can only get well if a vaccine is made, and the ingredients of that vaccine only grow in Australia.
And also the rumor goes that Australia has a very sudden logistics problem, and the soonest they will fix this problem is on Monday. :)
Great job Vos, let franky the NT. It Will be more interesting for the Ukranians
