Bug in HHHFF Romandia?
« on: June 26, 2020, 08:34:12 AM »
Not sure, but there might be a profile bug in the last night's race (HHHFF), esp. section 3.

Seems odd that 2 seperate groups in s2 (hills), come together in a hill section in s3. Was it counted as a flat section perhaps? Than it would make more sense. My leader was cut in s2, but without helpers, he was able to come back in s3. Not complaining about that happening, but I guess we all remind the discussion about strange races and taking notes for future races.

Maybe Oska can look into this.

Tactics.  I presume some will have gone hard in sector 1, or even sectors 1 & 2, to get rid of sprinters with no hill, then if no effort was available for sector 3, and others in the second group did use some, then it could account for this.  However my sprinter with bad hill jumped multiple groups in sector 3 (2 effort used - also 23 sec gained), so I suspect you're probably correct.

Yes, it was flat in s3, I am very busy with my job and I cannot check it until more stages have passed and I decided don't go back too much time due more operations ( transfers, promotions, more stages) have passed.
I changed it for next times .

Unless some kept mum about this, it wasn't something anybody knew until after the race, so it's not as if anybody had an advantage anyway.

Okay, glad you are able to fix it now. Fair enough to keep playing, like AA says , noone was (dis)advantaged.

I am very suspicious about this morning race. The course seems to be a HHHHF rather than a FFHHF.  ::)

Without any wind, groups of 42 in s1 and only 24 on s2 is very odd.

Looking at my cyclists ; it was a normal FFHHF race.
Helper Tafi was in the front in s1 (with 4 EP) and in a HHHHF race he never could be in the s1 front peleton when he used 5 EP.
His 2 EP in s2 was not good enough to follow.
Also my teamcaptain dropped out of the front group in s2 because he tried to save energy in s2 where he had a mechanical breakdown.
