stage 5 BBT ;
46º  Armstrong  on 0:58"
An excellent result thanks to Meijer ( with 70 health ) who did a great helpers job and got 5x hand symbols.
This even caused that Armstrong could hold on to 10ºGC, an amazing final result.  8)

Nice job Vos 😀
Thanks Daan  :)
And you too a nice job, because I see that your 22yo hills specialist Jacquet has overtaken the Australian toptalent James Bush.
I know Jacquet is amazing too, but I did not expect that he is now the nr 1 in the u23 DT.  8)

Good old Levin, impressive ! A great move you did not retire him, and I will be his superfan in stage 4 Romandie of next season. :D

   selection SPORTLIFE

My Dutch Vuelta teamcaptain makes his debut for my team.
His cobbleskill is too low to be a top GC contender in this Vuelta, but I assume he can battle for GC points despite the fierce competition.
Klaassen has to try hard, because if he fails, Kummer gets the leader role in the 2 pure mountain stages. A good practice for Colombia.

71 Klaassen ( 31 ), golden tour
72 Vorre ( 30 ), silver tour
73 Kummer ( 27 ), climb
74 Quinziatto ( 31 ), TT
75 Macannazi ( 27 ), climb

Good luck everyone !  :)

stage 1 Vuelta ;
8º  Vorre ( helper )  on 0:32"
12º  Klaassen  on  0:49"
Masterhelper Vorre was doing a great job in s1, s2 and s3, but unfortunately in s4 Klaassen could not hold the wheel of Vorre.
Despite this, I'm very satisfied about this race ;
Klaassen did much better as I expected, and the 8º place of not-favorite Vorre in a helpers role is excellent too.

stage 2 Vuelta ;
82º  Klaassen  on 2:48"
Unexpected big time loss.
But maybe more GC rivals had difficulties / the wrong tactic, because to me it is clear that this stage 2 had a bug :

stage 3 Vuelta ;
28º  Klaassen  on 0:36"
Vorre did a good helpers job in the first 3 sections, and in s4 Klaassen was in the 2nd group of nrs 7 to 37, on just 0:08", this looked good.
Unfortunately Klaassen could not finish in the s5 front group, but finished as 8th of the 2nd group of nrs 21 to 55, on 0:36"
Although it is doubtfull if he could finish on 0:00" in a much riskier tactic.

And after the unexpected big time loss of bug-stage-2, maybe it even does not matter / or does not matter much.
Because Klaassen is the current 14ºGC, on 3:20" behind his fellow country man van der Goor ( Zattara ).
My teamcaptain has no ambition to win the Vuelta, simply not good enough, but a top result seems not possible anymore.
For example the nr 5ºGC is already 2:27"(!) ahead of Klaassen.
Well, let's focus on the top 10 GC, just 0:22" behind at the moment, that could be duable.

stage 4 Vuelta ;
2º  Klaassen
24º  Kummer ( helper )
wow ! almost a victory of not-favorite Klaassen ( he could challenge just the 5th favorite ).

stage 5 Vuelta ;
49º  Klaassen  on 1:51"
Excellent race thanks to masterhelper Vorre who was with his teamcaptain in all sections, even in s5.
Klaassen moved up to 10ºGC after stage 4, and he cold hold on to this with his very good stage 5 result.

stage 6 Vuelta ;
TeamEuroscalt :o = 1º, 2º, 3º, 4º, 8º = formidabile, ottimo e buon lavoro, agtxla !  8)
7º  Kummer ( free role )
9º  Macannazi ( supermasterhelper )
15º  Klaassen ( teamcaptain ) on 2:28"
25º  Vorre ( masterhelper )
Excellent race and excellent results.  :)
Kummer could not challenge any favorites, so 7º in a free role is very good.
And Klaassen did amazing thanks to his helpers, who both were in s4 with their teamcaptain.

stage 8 Vuelta, flat TT ;
7º  Quinziatto
65º  Klaassen  on 3:28"
The best result of Quinziatto in his career, and even with 99 form because I forgot to use a +1 form card.

stage 8 Vuelta, FFFFF ;
55º  Klaassen  on 0:27"
As expected he finished in the big 2nd group of nrs 32 to 80.
Because he had not a good helper, although Quinziatto ( sprintskill = 9) did a good helpersjob in s1, s2, s3 and dropped as expected in s4.
Maybe finishing on 0:00" was possible if Klaassen had a masterhelper and a risky leader tactic.

Klaassen is still 10ºGC on 3:27" with a gap of 0:48" and 1:05" towards the nrs 9 and 8.
Looking behind Klaassen ; only the nr 11 is close on 0:02" and the others seem too far away ; nr12 on 1:05", nr13 on 1:38"

stage 9 Vuelta MDMDM ;
2º  Macannazi ( free role )  8)
3º  Kummer ( free role )  8)
19º  Klaassen  on 2:23"
WOW, 2x free roles on the podium ! Magnificent results, because both could not challenge the 5x TeamEuroscalt favorites.
Teamcaptain Klaassen did well, but he could have done better because helper Vorre made a tactical mistake in downhill s4 and dropped.
For the GC it maybe does not matter much ; Klaassen is still 10ºGC, now with a ½ minute gap towards nrs 9 ánd 11.

stage 10 Vuelta FFFFH ( without dh ) ;
22º  Klaassen  on 0:20"
He moved up one place and ended up as GC, what is good.

"UN UOMO SOLO AL COMANDO, CHI SARÀ ?"

DUITAMA - 19.08.2021 - CFF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

AIGARS FERTOVS / GEFFREY ALEXANDER, ChampsElysees

BUONA FORTUNA
E BUON DIVERTIMENTO A TUTTI !!!

Divertente ! :))  Speriamo che la paura sia giustificata. ;)
Ovviamente c'è solo un favorito per questo campionato del mondo; buona fortuna con il super scalatore Mikalsen !

Bella anteprima che hai fatto, agtxla. 8)
Ma devo aggiungere questa foto all'anteprima :

picture WC race in Colombia ; all CFF climb specialists are in pursuit of solo attacker Mikalsen. :)
