IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
I'll be on holidays next week and I'm not coming back until Sunday the 28th Nov. I'll update the prediction game results and the winner then, and also announce the details of next season's game. Here is a preview:

Next season the prediction game will change its format. Instead of predicting the winners of races, we will have to pick a dream team within the game, and the selection with most points at the end of the season will win the game.

The idea is to make it elaborated eventually, with different selections for different races during the season, and maybe still guessing the winner for the most important races. But for this first season, as I will have too little time to prepare the rules, I will keep it simple and manager will have to make a selection of riders for the whole season. Following seasons I will try to make the system better depending on how the first season went.

Question.  Will it be so many cyclists in each category (ie gold TTer - hiller - etc), or just whoever will get the most points?

I will post the rules on the 28th. But what I'm thinking now it's: make a team of 15 riders, using 45 stars. Stars will be asigned to the riders' salaries using different ranges. For example salary 0-860: 1 star; 860-1500: 2 stars... etc. I'll think about them.

I'll make the points system to try to make it even between different terrains. Any suggestions are welcomed, I'll consider all of them on the 28th.

For instance not in the rankings 1 star, top10 in each ranking 5 stars or something?

I'm curious about the new format, and I'm looking forward to it. 

"Suggestion" = picking a cyclist of your own team costs one star extra, because you know his TC period.
But I don't know if this is a good suggestion ; maybe knowing the TC period is of much less influence in the new format, as it is now.

The problem with wages is that cyclists from Div2 don't increase in wages unless it's by NT races.  Although you could either accept that, or alternatively have any gold cyclist not in a Div1 team for at least 1 season cost 2 points extra, and one (gold or not) not in Div1 for under 2 seasons cost 1 point extra.

It's true that riders coming from 2nd division have low salaries, but I think that those riders either they are young and they are not going to win as much as the experienced riders, or they come riding for teams that are likely going to be relegated again. Of course there will be some exceptions, but all of the participants are free to pick them so everyone is equal.

About the own team +1 star sounds also like a good idea, but gives you a disadvantage if you have more than one top rider in your team, someone that everybody else is going to pick.

I would say just try it rough next season, with no restrictions from your team/teams coming from 2nd division, see how it goes, and then restrictions for the following season.

About the stars, what about:

1 star: not more than 860
2 stars: not more than 1500
3 stars: not more than 4000
4 stars: not more than 8000
5 stars: 8000+

This first time, I suggest to make It simple, just 45 stars based on salary.
More salary-most, means more  experienced cyclist usually. And they only score points for classics and tours. Later we will see if NT, and stages from tours too. Changes in teams un middle season, sounds super interesting

Agree, but I would make stars more restrictive.

This is a good idea too, though excluding tour riders and some terrains as mountain hills for which the golden rankings are not good. But most importantly, non supporters would be having to ask how many stars does X rider have in order to make their selections. And I'm not willing to be answering questions looking at the rankings to tell them if they can pick then or not
