Mountain stage 9 with finish atop the brutal Blockhaus, ended with a sprint between possible GC contenders. Hindley won.
GC leader López did very well and finished as 15th on 1:46" what was just enough keep the maglia rosa.
One of thé Giro favorites, Simon Yates, finished as 34th on 11:15", his ambition to win the Giro is over.

Is the inclusion Tour of Japan a joke?  I only know 2 cyclists: Paco Mancebo (46yo) and José Vicente Toribio.

I guess you are not "big in Japan", ophiuko.

A big disadvantage towards many other CFF participants ;
I know that Kalarratas, Mitte and Animatico are real Tour of Japan fans, and have posters in their bedrooms of Japanese cycling teams.
Vlominck, azerite and Combuijs know a lot of data by memory of even height and weight of all Japanse top contenders.
pizzaboys is a reallife friend of the famous Yamamoto brothers and even went to Japan a few times to visit them.
Patrick Kok has as side-job that he is an official scout of Team Ukyo.
BrotasTeam and Fingolfin are consultants to help a bookmaker agency with the right odds on Japanese cyclists.
And Averatalm is married with a very pretty Japanse lady, and she is the team director of Utsonomyia-Blitzen.

Despite this all, I hope you participate too in the CFF League Tour of Japan 2022, ophiuko.
But with so many Japanese expertise among the CFF participants, I guess we both have to battle not to finish as last.
Because I know all about Chinese, Korean, and Indonesian cycling, but my knowledge of Japanese cycling is very limited,
so probably I'm the only one you can beat. Already good luck !

Of course, all riders are small and light weight. Apart from the 3 former Sumo-wrestlers of course.
