  Again Hayter ( 20, GB ) wins solo, now with an incredible big gap of 4:55" on the (also solo) nr 2.
Funfact = Hayter ( 2 stars ) has a current GC lead of 5:48" and picked just 1x ; by Vlominck.

pizzaboys ( 10th GC ) has been hit hardest by the extreme many dropouts in the Tour de Suisse, he has just 5 picks left.

  Lampaert wins TT stage 3. M.Pedersen finished as 2nd and kept the GC lead.

  Jakobsen wins stage 5.
The GC outcome was very controversial and decided in the "golden kilometer", about 5km before the finish with 3 bonus-seconds-sprints.
It was a GC battle between Schmid and Wellens, and Wellens won the first sprint and it looked like he would win the GC,
But for the next 2 sprints he was blocked twice by Lampaert (teammate of Schmid), and clear it was twice a deliberate very illegal move.
However, the jury decided to do exactly what Lampaert wanted, and declared Schmid as GC winner.
Final GC in this controversial Belgium Tour = 1st Schmid 0:00", 2nd Wellens 0:00", 3rd Q.Hermans 0:12"
