With 67 km to go, there was a very nasty crash ( see picture ) at high speed.
Top favorites van Aert and M.Pedersen had to abandon.
And many more cyclists who were involved in this hard crash, had to give up, for example Stuyven and Girmay.


But the race continued, and many kilometers before the finishline it was clear the winner would be in the 5-men-break-away group.
As only team, Visma had 2 cyclists in that group, and Jorgensen could profit of that and soloed to victory.
