Evenepoel attacked from an elite group of leaders on the final climb and just under 2km to go and rode away from all of his rivals to take the win and the overall lead in the race with two stages to go.

HORROR CRASH in stage 1 of Tour de Pologne :
( most recent news update of 1 hour ago )
Fabio Jakobsen fighting for his life after crash, says doctor who treated him.

Jakobsen careered into the barriers whilst jostling for position with Dylan Groenewegen at the end of the first stage of the Tour of Poland on Wednesday.
The rider was treated at the scene and placed into a medically-induced coma after sustaining a substantial loss of blood, a cerebral cranial injury and a broken palate.

A doctor who treated the Deceuninck–Quick-Step rider told reporters that his condition was serious enough to be considered life threatening.
“Jakobsen has extremely serious injuries and his life is in danger,” said Dr. Barbara Jerschina, as reported by naszosie.pl.
"We did everything that could be done, but the situation was difficult. It was difficult to intubate as he has a very serious cerebral cranial injury and a broken palate but larynx was able to be supplied with oxygen all the time and his heart was working well."
Four other riders - two of which were hospitalised – and a race official were also injured in the horror crash at end of a hilly 195.8km course from Stadion Slaski to Spodek Katowice.

No news about Fabio Jakobsen, besides that he is held in coma till tomorrow.
Stay strong, Fabio!
+1 !

Démare wins, 2nd Ewan, 3rd van Aert.

CFF League winner = GaoYao   8)

Stage 1 ;
Very justified that Groenewegen is disqualified, he caused the horror crash just before the finishline.
Jakobsen is declared as stage winner, and Sarreau 2nd. But both cyclists are out of this tour because of the crash.
Stage 2 ;
Pedersen wins the sprint, and this is his first victory in the rainbow jersey.

CFF League :
stage 1 winner = Vos   :)
stage 2 winner = Vos   :)

Next tour starts in 13 hours.

Interview with stage winner Bagioli (Deceuninck - Quick-Step) :
"It's incredible. After I'd crossed the line I couldn't believe that I'd won, then I was told I had done. It's a crazy feeling," said Bagioli, whose last victory was in the under-23 Tour of Lombardy last October. "Thanks to my team for this. The victory is dedicated to Fabio. We hope that he recovers quickly and is soon able to return to the group."

Speaking to DirectVelo, Bagioli added: "When Roglic attacked, he showed that he was very strong. The other favourites like Egan Bernal, Tom Dumoulin and Geraint Thomas followed, which created a selection. I hung on and as I was still near the front I said to myself that I had to try to sprint. It will be hard to keep the jersey tomorrow but I will try unless I have to work for another rider on the team."

CFF League stage 1 winner = GaoYao   8)

Carapaz wins stage 3 and takes the lead in the GC.

CFF League stage 3 winner = Animatoca   8)
Vos is still the GC leader,
despite he picked Jakobsen, Groenewegen and Sarreaux (total of 12 stars) who are all out of this tour after the crash in stage 1.

VanAert wins a hot and thrilling MilanoSanremo by beating Alaphilippe in a sprint-a-deux. Matthews finished 3rd.

CFF league winner = Vos   :)
My own note ; very nice to see that pizzaboys joined the WCS League again.

Remco Evenepoel (Deceuninck-Quick-Step) took control of the Tour de Pologne with an stunning 51km solo move on the queen stage 4.
He passed the finishline with in his hands the backnumber of Jakobsen.

The 20-year-old attacked from the leader's group with over one lap to go and crested four remaining climbs on his own, fending off Jakob Fuglsang, Rafał Majka and Simon Yates. Coming to the finish line in Bukowina Tatrzańska, Evenepoel held up a '75' bib number in an emotional tribute to his teammate Fabio Jakobsen who suffered severe injuries in a crash on stage 1.

Fuglsang crossed the finish line in 2nd, 1:48 down, while Yates came in third, 2:22 down. Meanwhile, Evenepoel moved into the race lead, taking the jersey from Richard Carapaz (Team Ineos), who crashed earlier in the day and finished 3:21 down. Deceuninck-Quick-Step rider now leads Fuglsang by 1:52 and Yates by 2:28 ahead of the final stage.

CFF League stage 4 winner = Kalarratas   8)
Vos is still the GC leader with one more stage to go.

Having narrowly failed to capitalise on the hard work of his Jumbo-Visma teammates on stage one at the Tour de l’Ain, Primoz Roglic judged his sprint to perfection to win the second stage in Lélex Monts Jura.

Roglic finished a couple of bike lengths clear of Egan Bernal (Team Ineos), with Valerio Conti (UAE Team Emirates) on the Colombian’s wheel in third. As race leader Andrea Bagioli (Deceuninck-QuickStep) had been dropped on the last of five categorised climbs, the victory moved the Slovenian into the leader’s jersey, 10 seconds ahead of Bernal before Sunday’s final stage to the summit of the Grand Colombier.

Jumbo-Visma fully deserved their success, the Dutch team taking up the pace-making with 35 kilometres remaining and producing the kind of “steam-roller” performance that we’re used to seeing from their British rivals.

They first reeled in the five-man break, then set about shredding the peloton, Robert Gesink and Tom Dumoulin both heavily involved, their pace-setting reducing the front group to single figures, Jumbo-Visma and Ineos both having three riders among the leading nine approaching the top of that final climb, the Col des Menthières.

On its upper slopes, George Bennett took over, the Kiwi reducing the front group to six members, his teammates Roglic and Steven Kruiswijk glued to his wheel, Bernal the only Ineos rider in the mix, with Nairo Quintana (Arkea-Samsic) and Bauke Mollema (Trek-Segafredo) at the back of this line.

With 11km remaining, Kruiswijk made a solo attack, attempting to isolate Bernal. That this failed was largely down to Ineos’s Jonathan Castroviejo, who bridged back to the leaders with Conti and provided some much-needed assistance to his Colombian team leader, who then finished the job of closing down Kruijswijk with 7.5km to the line.

Kruijswijk made another attempt to go solo just inside the two-kilometre mark. When this was nullified, he still had enough left to lead out the sprint, Mollema jumping first, only to be hobbled by a mechanical. Bernal accelerated, but Roglic swept past him to take the stage and complete a hugely impressive show of force by his Dutch team.

“It was a perfect day. The whole team did a really great job and I was super happy that I could finish it off,” said Roglic. “It was definitely nice to see that the other guys are also strong. We’re here to find the right feelings and we’re concentrating on that.”

CFF League stage 2 winner = GaoYao   8)
Can GaoYao win all stages in the Tour de l'Ain ? Tomorrow we will know after final stage 3.
