1Antonello Lorenzetto   27   Marcatone_Due   0: 00"

Incredible final for the Giro! 3 formidable riders at only 20". This afternoon everything it's possible ;D

1   RUJANO GUILLEN Jose   VEN   CLM   5h49'30"
2   SIMONI Gilberto   ITA   LAM   0'26"
3   DI LUCA Danilo   ITA   LIQ   1'37"
4   GARATE Juan Manuel   ESP   SDV   1'53"
5   VAN HUFFEL Wim   BEL   DVL   1'55"
6   HONCHAR Serhiy   UKR   DOM   1'55"
7   SAVOLDELLI Paolo   ITA   DSC   1'55"

In real life, on a sunny day of may (like today), "The hawk from Bergamo" Paolo Savoldelli (Ita) held on to the pink jersey with 28" on Gilberto Simoni (Ita) after the difficult and long-awaited mountain stage. The fireworks were there on the unique climb at Colle delle Finestre: 18.5 km arriving at 2,178 metres with an average incline of 9.2% and with 7.9 km of unpaved road. See the video here. Maybe today the Giro could be decided here again, but this time I expect that wins a non-italian rider... :P

In the end Lorenzetto did a fantastic final stage. Also congratulations to Hilton and Vali for making the podium. My Giro was fairly succesful with a good number of points, a stage win for Verbeek and a podium for Mota. Now Luna can show what he can do in the Dauphine.

stage 10 Giro ;
Miorlin
Finishing as last of the leading group is again an excellent result of Miorlin, because again he could not challenge any favorites.
And in this stage 10 his TC bonus was not active anymore.
Although that counts too for all climbers who rode Romandie, such as Blaak (2nd) and Rosland (3rd).
Stage winner Leducq ( Astanadena ) smartly took advantage of this situation because his TC bonus was still active this stage 10.

A beautiful denouement for GC leader Lorenzetto in this final stage 10. He finished as 7th before his GC rivals.

   selection SPORTLIFE

The main goal is a very good result in climb stage 2. That is the reason 2 climbers are selected.
The other 3 cyclists have no helper, despite this, they will try to score some points in their stages.

111 Adorján (26), climb
112 Basov (26), climb
113 Kangert (25), TT
114 Faber (27), cobble
115 Gregersen (25), hills

Good luck everyone !  :)

For my team its a change of pace: Luna can go for the GC. After stage hunting in the Giro. Lets see if he can earn his leader status for the Vuelta.

Happy with the result in the Climbing stage if the dauphine. Not Luna's best stage. Now 3rd in the GC.

stage 1 Dauphiné ;
Faber
Excellent start of this little tour. Tristan Faber had just 1 helper who was only good enough for s1, so he had to do it on his own.
Also a promising result (without TC) for the future that he finished in the 1st chasing group of 12 behind solo winner Travin.

stage 2 Dauphiné ;
Adorján
It is very good that my silver Hungarian climber finished in the front group of just 5, thanks to a great helpers job of Basov.
Although, finishing as last in the "sprint" on top of the s5 mountain is not really SPORTLIFE-worthy. ;)
But maybe I have to admit that my expectations were too high for Adorján because of his fierce competition.

stage 3 Dauphiné, the time trial ;
18º Kangert

Hopefully Gregersen can score some points too in stage 4.
No cyclists for stage 5 and also not for the GC, so that will be what we call in Dutch a "walking stage" / "etapa de caminar" for my team.

stage 4 Dauphiné ;
19º Gregersen
stage 5 Dauphiné ;
20º Faber
Unexpected extra points of my Dutch flat cobble specialist, I guess his free role tactic benefited of the hard storm.
My team scored a total of 240 points in this Dauphiné.

Congratulations to Rusakov ( Flyvende_hjul ) and his manager, who won the Dauphiné.  8)

Luna unfortunately did not make the top 10. Still a few points. Now Pyck may show why he is supposed to be the best climber in the team.

   selection SPORTLIFE

Because Miorlin did great in the Swiss mountains of Romandie, he gets the number with an 1 in it.
But it is still uncertain who will be the teamcaptain in the 2 mountain stages, which are clearly the main goals in this tour.

Faber is selected for some extra points in cobble stage 3. To my surprise he scored points too in the sprint stage of the Dauphiné, but I don't expect he can do that again due to the much better sprint competition in the Tour de Suisse.
The other Dutchman, VanDerKroon, is mainly selected to gain some experience. Lucky for him that my TdS selection was not complete.

101 Miorlin (27), climb
102 Crouzel (26), climb
103 Adorján (26), climb
104 Faber (27), cobble
105 VanDerKroon (27), climbhills

Good luck everyone !  :)

A nice 5th for Pyck. That made the sponsor happy.

stage 2 Tour de Suisse ;
Miorlin  8)
No victory this time, but again an excellent result for a not-favorite 9 stars climber without TC bonus.
Stage winner Long ( Astanadena ) celebrated his very first 1A victory.

Miorlin still in the leaders jersey, although Picazo ( Yvo_Meppelink ) is on 0:00" too.
But without another mountain stage in this Tour de Suisse, Miorlin has no GC ambition.
