Estonia joined at the last minute with contender = azerite
No star, because probably he is just enjoying the scenery and saving energy for the time trial that starts in 4 days and 7½ hours.
There azerite will be the top favorite as winner of the last time trial ( stage 20 ) in the Tour de France.

Perhaps one or a few participants are still in the airplane towards Japan.
If so, they really have to rush to Musashinonomori Park, because the olympic road race starts in 4 hours and 40 minutes.

As u predicted, i just chilled on the Road Race, but managed to get the win on the ITT.

A thrilling final in Clásica SanSebastián ;
35km before the finish 4 attacked out of the peleton, and later in the race they managed to stay ahead of the small group of favorites.
Unfortunately Rota crashed, but the other 3 sprinted for victory ( see picture ).
Powless won ; his first pro-victory. 2nd Mohorič and 3rd Honoré.

The olympic gold medal gives Combuijs an extra boost ; he almost won this stage of all WCS participants.
At the moment Combuijs is 2nd GC in WCS and he wears proudly the green jersey as leader of the WCS points classification.

Best GC result of a CFF participant in 2021 = 4th.
But that was the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas with just 160 participants, and in this men's edition of the Vuelta Burgos there are 318.
Best one-day-race results of a CFF participant in 2021 = 3rd Omloop het Nieuwsblad(260) and 3rd Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge(310).

Big difficulties/struggle to Bardet in the last 3km of this brutal climb where he lost more than a minute ánd dropped from 1st to 6th GC.
Landa ( in the picture ) finished as 6th on 0:16" what was good enough to win the Vuelta a Burgos. 2nd GC Aru, 3rd GC Padun.
