This for sure never happened before, that 3 CFF participants finished top 3. It is even very rare that one achieves a top 3 stage result.
I guess the CFF participants were much more alert on the many last-minute-changes than most other WCS participants.
Or another explanation = we are better experts in women.

Taaramäe won atop Picón Blanco climb from the early break of the day and took the race leader’s red jersey.

Behind the break, Mas kicked clear to gain three seconds on his overall rivals. Roglič, Bernal, Yates, Ciccone and Landa were all there,
but Carthy conceded 21 seconds while Valsov and Bardet lost 30 seconds.
Carapaz struggled far more and lost a minute, perhaps ending his overall ambitions. Kuss suffered the same fate, losing two minutes.

Luckily I didn't pick Bardet as I feel that he's one of those permanently overhyped low-performing charms.

I'm a bit thinking the same about Bardet, but this time I hoped he finally would make some of his potential,
because of his recent result, a mountain stage solo win in Burgos with many good climbers as rivals.
Also his GC results of this season looked promising ; 6º Burgos, 7º Giro, 9º Alps, 8º Tirreno.

Well, sometimes I picked Bardot as a gamble, and often not with success, this Vuelta-pick included.
But then again ; my big tours picks are often not lucky due to crashes and other bad circumstances.
Let's see how many of my Vuelta picks make it to Santiago de Compostela, that is fun too.
