Thanks for the updates Vos. You are really killing it on the classics this year!

Congrats for Eschborn-Frankfurt, winner of all WCS participants! How did you manage to guess almost all the cyclists on the breakaway?

GC leader Vos wins the sprint of the windy stage 3.
With 96km to go, the peleton fell into groups due to wind echelons. What made this race into a high pace battle between several groups.
Some GC riders lost a lot of time, for example Realini and Faulkner.

CFF League stage 3 winner = ophiuko  8)
Patrick Kok is still the GC leader with 4 more stages to go.

Realini wins the sprint-a-deux by photo-finish versus new GC leader van Vleuten.

Realini could profit by staying continously in the wheel of long-distance-attacker van Vleuten, in a stage where a lot happened.
The main "event" was early in the race where SD Worx, with Vollering in the red yersey, took a wrong moment for a sanitary stop
and immediately after caught in crosswinds what increased the gap to the attacking rival teams.
Vollering now 2nd GC on 1:11" Tomorrow the final stage with a decisive, very brutal climb & summit finish on Lagos de Covadonga.

CFF League stage 6 winners ( split victory ) = Vlominck  8)   &  Kalarratas  8)
Patrick Kok is still the GC leader with 1 more stage to go.

A very impressive, superior Evenepoel wins TT stage 1.

CFF League stage 1 winner = BrotasTeam  8)

It's such a pity about Vollering. I was really looking forward to the battle between Vollering and van Vleuten in Lagos de Covadonga. Now with 1:11 difference it's not so interesting.

Will Remco wear the pick all the way to Rome?

Agreed, but I still hope it is going to be some kind of battle between the GC contenders.
Especially because Vollering and her team are extra motivated after yesterday,
also because they did not believe the explanation of van Vleuten that the attack was already planned due to expected cross winds.
At least, that was what ( the always emotional ) Vollering more or less said in an interview after the race.

I guess today there will be a lot of envy and grudge in the peleton and I expect that they will made it hard for van Vleuten.
But then again, a hard race with early attacks is normally in favor of van Vleuten, who likes very hard high-pace races.
And the gap of 1:11" is huge / normally way too much.
But you never know in cycling, if van Vleuten has a bad day, she can lose minutes in the brutal final climb. Although I do not expect this.

And yes, perhaps Evenepoel can wear the pink jersey in all stages, what did not happen since Gianni Bugno in 1990.
But I saw also an interview of Evenepoel right after the race, were he sort of mentioned the plan to lose the jersey after some stages.
And that plan was made before the time trial, so, he certainly is confident, fully prepared, and feeling top.
Of course, he did better in the time trial as he planned, or maybe better said, the rivals did less good as he planned.
And now with the relative big time gap, there is for sure a possibility that he can wear the pink jersey in all stages.
But it is a big tour and it is just started, so anything can still happen ( hopefully no abandon ), and especially the last week is very hard.

Although, looking at Remco's great performances in for example LBL and this stage 1 time trial,
it very well could be a "boring" Giro with one much better than the rest and therefore no GC battle for the victory.
And an attacking Evenepoel is not needed now, due to his big lead after stage 1,
so, unfortunately, I do not expect such a great, exciting battle between Roglic and Evenepoel such as in Catalunya.

Well, in case we get a "boring" Giro, we always have the CFF League to make this Giro more exciting to us.  ;)

They just said on TV there was a mistake on the timing yesterday and McNulty didn't win the KOM, I think it was switched to Geoghegan Hart. I don't know if this will change anything on WCS, but I guess they will have to correct it. I think no one picked McNulty anyway.

WCS just fixed this a few minutes ago, and gives now Geoghegan Hart as leader of the mountain classification.
In the CFF League nothing has changed yet, maybe the fix is still in progress ?

And indeed, nobody picked McNulty, but as you can see when you click "most picked" on the CFF League page,
Geoghegan Hart is picked 10x, and those 10 CFF participants ( click symbol of H2H to see the 10 ) might have one/ a few points more now.
The solution is probably simple, because I assume the rankings will be ( automatically ) accurate again after the stage 2 update.

Ok, I guess the fix was still in progress, because I just see now tiny little changes in the CFF League due to your mentioned issue, ophiuko.
I will adjust the by me posted rankings.

Stage 7 winner Vollering attacked on the last brutal climb, the Lagos de Covadonga, and won almost a minute on van Vleuten.
Van Vleuten narrowly secured her GC victory by just 9 seconds !
In the picture the final GC ;  2nd Vollering 0:09",  1st van Vleuten 0:00",  3rd Realini 2:41"

GC winner = Patrick Kok  8)
Patrick Kok wins also the sprint jersey.
ophiuko wins the mountain- and youth jerseys.

  Milan wins sprint stage 2.
A big crash with about 4 km to go, caused that many potential GC contenders lost 19 seconds.
Evenepoel, Roglič and a few other GC contenders could avoid this crash, and finished in the downsized small first peleton on 0:00"

CFF League stage 2 winner = Mitte  8)
