Top-talent Torres wins solo stage 7 with a huge 3:43" gap towards the also solo finishing nr 2, is GC leader Blackmore.
But this was not enough for Torres to win this Tour of the Future, he came just 12 seconds short.

A.Yates wins mountain stage 9 with a 60 km solo attack. After a bad first week, he moves up many GC places and now 7th.
Carapaz finished solo as 2nd on 1:39" and also he moves up many GC places and now even 3rd.
The surprising nr 3 in this exciting stage was GC leader O'Connor, who won the sprint( +4 boni-seconds ) of a 10-men chasing group.

Almeida did not start in this stage 9 due to Covid.
He was picked by almost everyone in the CFF League, only 2 participants did not pick Almeida.

Out of the break away, Woods wins solo in stage 13. Also a GC battle on the final climb ;
Roglič attacked and GC leader O'Conner lost a lot of time. Still in the red jersey, but the GC time gap is reduced to 1:21"

Again a splendid stage victory of Castrillo, who is riding for Equipo Kern Pharma that could ride this Vuelta thanks to a wild-card.
Also a GC battle in the extreme brutal final climb kilometers ; again Roglič closed the gap a bit, now 1:03" behind GC leader O'Connor.
