I made the post yesterday ;-)
(anything to do with that, Timidus?
)
I see I actually didn't pick him in my first season as NT coach, which was the second season with NT's though :-) And of course, my riders at the moment took 5-6 of the slots too
Flat cobbles is by far the best discipline for the danish NT, and the first few seasons is a bit hard, and Anders wasn't in my top8 with the GV I used - and the 9th slot was used for a younger talent. I have a feeling you might have trained him in a way, that I was sceptical about at the moment, and that didn't benefit him as much as the training for the others in terms of the GV for that specific race.
In flat cobbles, Denmark has 3 of the 6 gold icons - and one more rider very close. And I think we have 3-4 more 8+ star riders. In most other disciplines I don't even think we have two 8+ star riders - in a few races our captain only have 7 stars (including the upcoming hills cobble race). The competition is fierce, and long term training and dedication has been very good for Jørgensen(maybe also hidden talent)!
I'm certain he could win Paris Roubaix, even though for now, I'm sure he wouldn't be the favourite (at least not if either Harboe or Travin is in 1a) - but with the right tactics, great helpers and good setup (staff and equipment), I'm sure it's possible.
