At 4km before the finishline, a huge crash of half the peleton. Almost all sprinters avoided this crash, Philipsen won.
Stage 2 is canceled.
Unfortunately my picks (instead of picking sprinters) were for a big part based on that canceled time trial.

The BBT changed due to the very recent activated corona measures in the Netherlands, it is entirely in Belgium now.
As already mentioned, stage 2 the time trial was cancelled. But today there was a time trial stage instead of the original stage 4.
Tomorrow the final stage 5 (cobblehills) remains the same.
Pedersen won sprint stage 3 and Andersen won time trial stage 4. Pedersen leads the GC, but it is all real close together.

Just like the TdF, also the Giro will be decisive in the 3rd week.
Therefore the stars rating are mainly based on past Giro results and on the recent TdF result.
According to the bookmakers the pressure is on top favorites Kalarratas and WinterIsComing.
Of course based on their past results, but also because Kalarratas is riding in the world champion jersey, and WinterIsComing, well,
just because of his name he should be a top favorite for a Giro in October.

I don't think so, Kalarratas, according to me a ⭐⭐⭐ favorite will win the pink jersey. Those bookmakers suck.
Although they were right in the Tour de France, the first mentioned ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐  top favorite won. To put some pressure on you, hahaha.

van der Poel wins stage 5 after an impressive solo attack of 50km.
The GC was very exciting in this final stage, and in the end van der Poel won the BBT. 2nd GC Andersen on 0:08" and 3rd GC Küng on 0:23"
