And the GC for Lorenzetto. That will be the most important. If he can finish in the podium he has a great chance.

Yes, of course, I forget to mention his most important 5th chance ; the GC. ( I will edit my previous post )
Lorenzetto is far behind, but that is very relative because he will score many GC points.
And how many GC points will probably decide who is going to win the Golden Bike this season.

stage 4 Vuelta ;
victory of Benett !
Basov
17º Crouzel

Let's go to cobble stage 5.
This is the exact same stage as Vuelta stage 3 of previous season,
with just one difference ; back then only rain was active and now only wind (1 stripe) is active.

In previous season there was something very special happening in this race, it looked even like a software error ;
the race development did not match the race picture.
For sure this was the by far most bizarre, unlogical stage I have ever seen in CFF3 ánd CFF2.
So the question = is it this time a normal race, or just like previous season an extreme weird and bizarre race ?
Both possibillities have completely different tactics.

I remember it, we discuss it in chat, it was a bug in my opnion. We will see how it works this time

I gambled/anticipated on that it would happen again, and that was a good tactical choice for my teamcaptain and helper.
stage 5 Vuelta ;
Faber

Luna now 20th in the GC. Not really interesting but hey. Tonight Verbeek can go for glory. If he wins it would mean a stage win for TeamRHB in all different grand tours.

Is Oska aware of this software bug?

It seems Hilton truly benefited from this in stage 5, and seems now to be a clear favourite for winning Vuelta. Its really a shame if a bug decides a Grand Tour, for all parties included.  :-\

Yeah, because normally Hilton never performs well in cobble stages...

In Tour Suisse Hilton took 52 seconds on Rusakov, now it is 1:03. Of course I used the information from last season, but that was not a secret race, you were part of that as well.

If he wins, he will get this prestigious milestone ;
Pierino Baffi Trophy ( stage winner in all the 3 Grand Tours )

My main goal in previous season was to achieve this trophy, and Miorlin won it. 8)
Maybe good to mention that it is 100% certain this is a team trophy.
So, 3 different cyclists with just 1 stage victory on their palmares is already enough if those 3 cyclists win each in a different grand tour.
Despite this ; just 14 CFF managers have the prestigious Pierino Baffi Trophy.

Good luck Sjiz !
And not just good luck in winning this trophy, but also good luck in the battle for the Golden Bike, every point might be usefull.
Although to me Verbeek is not the favorite to win the Golden Bike.
Even if he would win the Silver Bike, that is already an unique achievement, because also the Silver Bike was always won by a tour rider.
Just the Bronze Bike was won by 3 specialists, and one of them (Pierre, cobblehills) did that even 3 times in the most recent seasons.

In previous season there was something very special happening in this race, it looked even like a software error ;
the race development did not match the race picture.

In previous (and this) season I had the impression the race picture CCFCC is not right.
How the race developed, it seemed like it was a FFCCC race instead.

Big peleton in s1, the same in s2, and s3 is important because it goes from flat into a heavy section, cobblestones.
But in this CCFCC race picture that is shown, most cyclists save energy in s3. And waste energy in the first two sections.
But I could be wrong that the race development looks like a FFCCC race instead.
It can explain the favorites, who were normal for a cobblestone race.

And also not normal that a CCFCC race has such a big peleton in s1 and almost everyone could follow in s2.
In previous season (without wind) it went like this in the first 3 sections ; 120(or so) - 118(exact) - 40(exact) cyclists.
This season (with 1 stripe of wind) ; 115 - 95 - 8

I did not gamble all the way if this software error would happen again, but I adjusted the tactics a bit just in case.
Faber could challenge the 4th and 5th favorite, and he has TC bonus and an active weather icon.
He raced in 20145, and his helper in 53400. Both were in the section 3 break away group of just 8 cyclists.

edit ;
there could be also other options, for example maybe this was a FFCCF race. Although the groups in s4 and s5 were the same with 13 cyclists.

Of course he performs well in them, I dont say he would not have gained seconds in this stage if no bug. But, most likely less.

You cant compare the Suisse stage who was 5X pure cobbles (even better stage for Hilton compared too Rusakov, and also more time-difference in general in such stage). Also in this race Rusakov had 0 helper bonus throughout the race.
Much more accurate to compare the Dauphine stage, where Hilton gaind 23 seconds on Rusakov. Of course this 2x flat instead of 1. However because this stage probably was one of Vos suggestions, I think in time differences those indeed are the most accurate to see the differences between.

I dont blame you for this, its not your fault. But, probably Hilton made extra seconds of it. There were no guarantee whether the bug was fixed or not, so even though I knew last year, there was big gambling whether this would happen again or not. I think its pity that this stage is not removed, if not fixed. Hence my point, its a pity a bugged stage could decide the race.

People who knew about the bug and didnt say nothing for me have performed in a very creeping way.

I mean if you take advantage of a bug then your results dont deserve any respect and recognition for me.
I would have published the information before the race, even in a new topic if it was necessary.

And for all of u that have criticised Vos on the dutch forum, he was the only one that reminded the bug this time. Idk what personal issues happened there, but less hipocrisy cause this have exposed some.

Removing the stage doesn't make sense. Ideally, we make sure the stage is indeed the one that is displayed in the picture, let everyone put in new tactics, and race the stage again. But to make that happen would cost a few days I guess, so I don't know if it's a real possibility.
