World Championships ( time trial, men )
Often time trials are boring, but this WC TT was a thriller.
There were some big time differences in the first part compared to the second part, for most caused by the dividing of effort,
For example top favorite Gana dissapointed a lot in the 2nd part and finished as 7th on 0:56"
Two cyclists were unlucky ;
Hayter had a mechanical breakdown what probably costed him about 30 seconds, and he finished as 4th on 0:40"
Sheffield was doing great, but he crashed, what probably costed him more than 1 minute, and he finished as 17th on 1:44"
And of course the surprising winner made this time trial exciting too, with a gap of just 3 seconds towards the nr 2 who started fast.

1st Foss ( 25, NOO ), 2nd Küng ( 28, SUI ) on 0:03", and 3rd Evenepoel ( 22, BEL ) on 0:09"

Again a Spanish victory, this time by ophiuko, who now secured the final victory in the Chief of Classics Trophy, congratulations !

A fun TT indeed. Spanish comentators said there were gusts of wind that conditioned the race for different riders. Who knows.

It is a fact that there were gusts of wind, because van Dijk almost crashed due to it on a straight road next to the ocean.
If the wind had influence on the results, indeed, who knows.
It could be. For example if someone had 7x gusts of wind, and another cyclist just 2x.
According to me, the wind was for sure an extra exciting aspect in this thrilling WC TT, but to me unknown if it had a real effect on the results.

And it is possible that WCS can add or delete more tours and races. But for now the remaining 2022 calendar looks like this :
